Ok, so for this commendation, the description is ‘Use a grenade to retrieve a power weapon for you or a teammate.’
If anyone knows, can you please shed some light on what this means? Does it mean grenade a weapon pad where the power weapon is and then the teammate has to catch it when it flies towards them, or can you just grenade it off the weapon pad and a teammate can simply take it from the ground?

You can get combat evolved for blowing it off the pad and picking it up. I would think the same one be true for this one.
There’s a combat evolved medal in game that explains this better, but ya. Use a grenade to blow a power weapon off of its weapon pad and then retrieve it. I’ve done it both ways (caught it mid-air and picked it up off the ground where it landed) and still received the medal, so it shouldn’t matter for the commendation. Sticky grenades are the easiest to blow it off

I’m pretty sure that the medal was suppose to be for a mid air catch, I’ve achieved that. Never tried to pick it up after it flew away though, but you could try.

As long as you pick it up after its off the pad mid air or not it will count.

I got the Combat Evolved medal when I picked a sniper off the ground. I think it may sometimes work even if the weapon isn’t mid-air.
