Seriously oddball carrier needs a one hit kill. With the joke teams you get how are you supposed to defend yourself. Oh drop the ball and by the time your weapons ready yep your dead. Why change what worked in previous games. It’s like you thought I know I won’t bother looking at what worked well in previous games I’ll just make crap up on the go. I’m sure the community will love all are decisions.
For the love of whatever god you worship please just turn it back (same with flag carrier) to a one hit kill. It worked before it’ll work again.

Personally haven’t had a problem with it. The adjustment at first was strange being used to one hit but after a bit of expirimentation I changed up my playstyle slightly and found it actually a decent change. It has increased dash range compared to normal melee and if I’m not mistaken you can strike more rapidly with the ball than normal melee. This makes it viable to defend with in close quarters in a pinch.
Also one thing about players in previous titles is that everyone knew it was a one hit and would never go anywhere close, picking you off from a distance as you impotently run at them. Whereas in this game people seem more willing to gamble the close quarters in a more fair matchup, the trade off being that if you are skilled with the ball you can kill them faster. Especially deadly when you have teamates shooting and you are charging the enemy and beating them down as well, functioning like a sword with half the dash and damage but deadly support. Kind of more op imo based on all my previous Halo experience and a more fun change (Been playing since Halo 2 og xbox). I actually feel like I can be somewhat offensive with the ball now instead of running like a coward. But obviously no substitute for good team work. I usually play with a friend or 2.
The flag on the other hand, useless. Should either have similar properties to the skull or be a single hit. As far as I can tell it doesn’t have the dash, which is the key difference that makes up for the skull not being one hit.
