Odd Layout Glitch

I was playing Halo 5 a couple days ago when, without warning, my button layout changed. I went to change it but the layout was (still) fishstick. I’m pretty sure the layout is “Halo 4” but the weirdest thing is that the ground pound isn’t on melee, it’s on sprint.

Here’s what the layout ends up as:
A - Jump
B - Crouch
X - Reload
Y - Switch Weapon
LS - Sprint/Ground-pound
RS - Smart-link
RB - Spartan Charge/Melee
LB - Thruster
LT - Grenade
RT - Shoot

This first happened on my elite controller so I assumed it was a bug with control bindings but it recently occurred on my normal Gen 1 Xbox controller that I’ve used for a total of 2 weeks, as opposed to the 3 years I played with the elite. Is this common? Has this ever happened to anyone before?

This has happened to me once or twice before and only happened when respwaning back in. All you need to do is switch to another layout and back to yours again and it’s fine. Not sure what causes it but it’s extremely rare so I wouldn’t worry too much about it happening again.
