Odd audio issue.

During the cinematics and missions I have no character dialogue audio. I could hear Serina’s monologue in the first cinematic, but no one else’s.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Edit: Forgot to mention that this is on the XBO.

Edit 2: The voices are there, but they are like very distant echos. Even at max volume I can barely hear them.

Edit 3: TanithGhost88 found a fix!
GO TO XBOX ONE SETTINGS, DISPLAY & SOUND, AUDIO OUTPUT, WITHIN THE HDMI AUDIO SECTION THERE IS A DROP MENU OF 3 SETTINGS. MINE WAS ON 5.1 SURROUND UNCOMPRESSED. SWITCH TO STEREO UNCOMPRESSED.

For some reason my was defaulted to 7.1 surround uncompressed.

Same. I don’t know what’s wrong :frowning:

Mines the exact same…

Throwing in my two cents here. Noticing this on PC as well. Dialogue is ultra quiet compared to everything else.

So at first I thought it may have been a sampling problem (like not being able to do 7.1 simulated channels) for my headphones.

I tried turning off my simulated surround, setting audio in game to headphones or TV, nothing. Switched to speakers and everything worked fine.

However, after doing so I exited and restarted the game with my headset plugged in again (Logitech G633) and I could hear the dialogue just fine as if it were my speakers again. The game eventually crashed (spam saving/loading to get the first level’s damn bonus objective to count) and restarting the game made it such that the problem resurfaced.

To me this seems much less like a core audio conversion fault and more like some kind of setting going all flipfloppy.

I’ll try switching to speakers and then back to headset again to see if it fixes it as a oneoff once more.

This is happening to me aswell please help us devs

For me on PC the Audio in the cutscences cuts out for a mirco sec like its crackalling, the only other major promblem im having is the loading times that never finish

I have noticed the audio is low during the cut scenes compared to the gameplay. I think overall the audio sounds muffled, not just dialogue. You should post in the support forum so they can investigate your specific issue and determine if there is a bug that needs to be patched.

For me I’ve had a couple of scenes where there were machine gun sounds or engines running during the cinematics.

Every time I see a cutscene I always hear gunfire or humming vibrations from the mission. Broken game?

While im playing when im in combat the sound keeps going in and out so when theres a fight it sounds like shooting then quiet and keeps repeating

So the way I fixed it was I went to xbox setting and changed the audio output to stereo and it’s working for me now

Could you tell me what headphones/audio setup you are using and what your audio settings are?
As well, what setting you have in your actual Xbox settings?

I had this issue and posted a few days ago about it.

I FIXED IT!

TL:DR. GO TO XBOX ONE SETTINGS, DISPLAY & SOUND, AUDIO OUTPUT, WITHIN THE HDMI AUDIO SECTION THERE IS A DROP MENU OF 3 SETTINGS. MINE WAS ON 5.1 SURROUND UNCOMPRESSED. SWITCH TO STEREO UNCOMPRESSED.

Found this because I tried watching Twister and the opening of the movie with no voices is creepy.

Hopefully this will help all of you!

Added to OP. Thanks for the fix!

Problem: In Windows the audio gets low early on when the game connects on the servers, I can not raise the volume, not even in the settings, if the connection drops the volume increases, anyone with this problem in Windows 10?

Surprised no one has made a bad “odd-io” issue joke. Guess I’ll have to.

Might you say that it is an “ODDio” issue?

I’ll see myself out.

I had the same issue on Windows 10.
SOLUTION: To fix, you need to make sure that your Audio controller (in my case Realtek HD Audio Manager) is set to output sound in the correct speaker configuration that is supported by your speakers/headphones. I accidentally had it set to 7.1 surround sound. My headphones are only stereo though. So I set the audio configuration to play stereo, everything works fine now. Similar fix as for Xbox One which was posted by other users.

In my game happends 2 the voices sounds is really low but the effect sounds normal

I have the same issue, audio works if you record it in game DVR but i’m not keep recording every 5 mins for some dialog! I just got thia game and i want to hear whats going on, devs need to look into this cause i dont want to play this game for this issue. I love the story in games and if i cannot hear it i dont wanna play it, until this is fixed, im not going to play the story at all!

After Latest Patch audio not working properly. No sound during Cinematics, voice but no music during loading screens, and during gameplay only the sound of footsteps and other random foley ? Also no sound at all in the menu.

I also Launched the blitz beta which I happen to still have installed and that audio worked fine.

I’m running it on PC specs below:

Processor Intel(R) Core™ i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GB
