October 16th - Need players for custom games

Okay so thankfully Halo 3 will be FREE October 16th :smiley: While this is great news, there will be a few problems.

The biggest of these problems will be matchmaking. Seeing as every playlist requires purchased DLC except TS, LW, SS and Multiteam (I think), everyone who then downloads the game will severely miss out on some of the best playlists in the game, unless of course everyone buys the DLC :stuck_out_tongue:

So what Iā€™m here to ask for are willing people who want to spend most of their time playing fun custom games rather than repeatedly searching for Team Slayer games all day, not that that wonā€™t be fun in itself thanks to the population boost. However, while TS should get better, everyone knows that where Halo 3 shines is custom games, ESPECIALLY without DLC for MM.

So the maps that are a given for fun customs are Foundry, Standoff, Ratā€™s Nest, Valhalla, Last Resort, Sandtrap, Cold Storage, The Pit, Guardian, High Ground, Snowbound, and a few others I forgot or donā€™t have games for. These are a given because theyā€™re literally given to you from the start, or are free DLC.

Anyone who has some awesome games for these maps and wants to play, or just wants to play anyway with me and others the day the game becomes free (or before), post your gamertag and/or add me. The tag Iā€™m normally on is richilg1, but Iā€™m now occasionally on RICHaaaarrrdd

This looks like another ā€œREPOPULATE NAO GUYZā€ thread, but honestly, what better time would there be to get on and play a full lobby of customs again???

Sure I guess Iā€™ll be doing that plus I might have a friend or two who will be playing with me for the rest of October when it comes out. I live in the Pacific Time Zone btw.

I may actually want to join this. Halo 3 is rife with cheaters and trolls now, and I am tired of fighting 1v3 because of afk people.

Iā€™m interested. I donā€™t have any maps of my own to add so I donā€™t wanna be host. I have all the DLC and iā€™ll friend you. Iā€™m having some friends get Halo 3 too so they can join as well!

Cool, stealth Iā€™ll have you added soon. Everyone else, Iā€™m more on my richilg1 account than my other, so if you can, message or FR me on that account and Iā€™ll keep in touch when the 16th comes around. Also anyone with some good custom games, let us know you have them by posting here or messaging me.

So far my games wish list is made up of:

-Fat Kid (both 4 floors and omega journey)
-Duck Hunt
-Predator
-Ghostbusters
-Ice Cream Man
-Monster Trucks
-Tank (or Tank Man, I forget)
-Train

ā€¦and MANY more I canā€™t think of atm. If anyone has any of these or any more they can think of, post about it here so we can get a bigger list made up. And if thereā€™s no luck finding gametypes, donā€™t worry about it and just find the maps for the games. Also, if you guys noticed, these games are made from the free DLC maps, or from the maps already on the disc, so if itā€™s possible, find games that are for those maps.

One more thing, I know these are all very fun focused games, but if anyone is still interested in getting into competitive 4v4 MLG matches, Iā€™m okay with that too, Iā€™ve still got some of the gametypes.
