I love how you hate on jetpacks and the other armor abilities but you don’t seem to remember the garbage afterthought of a feature that Equipment was. Armor Abilities were the best thing to happen to Equipment.
And if you want Bungie/343 to just repackage the same game each year with a different title, I don’t think this is the popular FPS series that you should be playing.

equipment is fine, because it’s a one time use, just like the overshield pickup in Halo CE. it’s eather an OS or a bubbleshield or regenarator, I don’t see the problem between the two.
Complaints won’t get you anywhere here. If you really dislike Halo 4 that much, stick to Halo 3, although you’re only going to find matches in Team and Social Slayer(Unfortunately).

Halo 3 was absolutely ridiculed and slated on launch in exactly the same way Reach was and now Halo 4 is being. These games take a while to tweak and adjust to get them and the maps just right. Not everything can be found in a beta or 2.
I’d go as far to say that H3 got the worst reception of the main halo games to date.

It was and still is superior to Armor Abilities. I miss one-time use items like the bubble shield and power drain. They were useful, effective, and changed up gameplay for the better.

Halo 3 is Halo 3 and Halo 4 is Halo 4. Why bother going backwards? Shouldn’t It move forward?

I don’t have an issue with Armor Abilities except Armor Lock from Reach. Thank god that was replaced with Hardlight Shield.

I’ve been a long time fan of the Halo franchise since the beginning. I don’t see an issue with Halo 4. If you still prefer Halo 3, then go play Halo 3. What’s the point of playing Halo 4 If you are constantly going to whine about It? At least the servers are still up for Halo 3, so keep playing It rather than disliking Halo 4.

So you want 343i to take the Call of Duty route where they rehash the game every year with little to no new features? Just minor weapon/perk tweaks, minor graphical upgrades, new campaign, and new maps?

lol, Halo 4 is no where near has popular as Halo 3
a simple upgrade of Halo 3 would have had made the kids that use armour abilities stick to Reach and made people who can fight for map position, equipment respawns and players who can four shot without having to evade in a jet pack stick to Halo 4
much better having to earn the right to get camo spawn instead of waiting for it to recharge, same with regen.
Halo Reach and Halo 4 is to cater for the COD noobs that could never get their 50 in Halo 3 without boosting…

equipment is better than AA but AA are not that bad
The person who posted this topic needs to learn how to share gaming with the world, Hardcore gamers are few compared sheer numbers of casual gamers and new gamers. Yes there are planty of Halo fans and Creative Director Josh Holmes said in interview - Half of Halo fanbase is campaign based and other half are multiplayer fans
So as smart butt why don’t try figuring the space magic math to make everyone happy at expense of -Yoink!- a few.
343i need to get some of the fans together to help fix this damn game, you know… like how naughtydog flew a few fans in to fix there -Yoinked!- up aiming in uncharted 3.

Halo 2 and 4 have been possibly the most negatively recieved Halo games.
OP, if Halo 3 came out again I wouldn’t buy it. I’ve already got it and don’t need another one. Halo does need to change, albeit some of the changes are less satisfactory than others, but that’s why we have to make the changes better, not just throw them out the window like a piece of garbage.
