Ok, so I think there are enough people who want Hayabusa Armour to be included in the Halo 4 armoury for it to actually be beneficial for 343i to do it.
But instead of giving it to us a DLC, how about doing what Halo 3 did with the Vidmaster achievements to unlock Recon. Give a series of achievements to unlock it.
This would be awesome for a number of reasons:
- There would be more satisfaction to unlocking the armour
- It would actually prove that the player achieved something
- It could open up a doorway to even more DLC in the future
- The DLC would actually be bought more (lets face it, Halo 4 DLC sales are abysmal)
- An increase in population and players would actually replay campaign and Spartan Ops more (if the achievements were also part of these two)
- Hayabusa armour would fit perfectly for something like this because it looks legendary/mythic/just all round different and unusual from other armour
- And most importantly, it would be fun!
Now, it may be abit too late for something like this to be included (even though Halo 3 was still releasing DLC and stuff like this years after release), a concept like this could be implemented into Halo 5. This would get rid of the tedious, bribery to play your game-like system that is currently in place (sorry but I just don’t like the current system to unlock armour).
Maybe, it could be a thing were, every now and then, they release new armour that has to be unlocked this way. Maybe monthly or bi-monthly or even annual.
And 343i shouldn’t be worried about ‘copying past games’ and ‘putting their own stamp on the game’. I personally don’t care if you took elements from previous games or copied them entirely. I loved previous games. I just want a fun game!
