Seems broken if the intention is to give you the medal when you kill someone whilst 1 shot. Not sure how much closer you can get to death.

Say you’re one shot away from dying because you just fought and killed an enemy Spartan. If you were to kill another Enemy who has full shields before yours regenerate then you should get this medal.
Theoretically you should, I would think. Although, since actually trying to obtain more of this medal I had pushed for kills more aggressively while one shot, and rarely notice myself getting the medal.
You have to have some health damage also. You cant just have no shield.
I think this is similar to the close call medal from Reach. As well as killing a person while close to death, you also have to survive until your shields recharge. I suggest that if you’re about to die and are cornered, find the nearest power weapon and open fire.
Pretty much that. You have to kill an enemy with no shield, then survive for your shield to recharge again
But killing someone while almsot dieing and surviving gives you the other medal for have been close to die, not this one X3
You know how Halo:Reach had a Health Bar?
That Health is still in the game. You just don’t get to see it anymore. Like in Halo 3, health is invisible on the HUD.
That is why even a guy without shields takes a few more hits to kill with an AR. He still has health under that Shield.
The DMR, BR and Light Rifle are Awful at getting From the Brink medals. They just suck for it. They don’t really do health damage, they bypass it. They insantly kill a player if they headshot when shields are gone. It isn’t that they do the perfect amount of damage, they don’t, they just instant kill anyone without shields on headshot.
So this means most BR or DMR fights don’t end up coming down to the last bits of health. Most of the time you’ll have a popped shield and either full or 2/3rds health. This isn’t enough for the Medal. You need to be half health and no shields and survive the fight.

As far as I know, you can’t. This has to involve killing another Spartan.
