I know its not even 12 months into the “10 year plan” for 343, and i know there will be a plethora of customizable goodies down the track but i had a thought that maybe skins for objectives such as the oddball and the flag would be a great addition.
Having Lopez’s head from Red vs Blue as a skin for the oddball would be absolute gold and classic Halo CE flag skins etc.

The only thing with an oddball skin is I would assume the ball would need to reset before the skin can switch so you wouldn’t see your skin often. First you need oddball, and then you need to be the one to pick it up first.
Unless you’re suggesting it switches each time someone new picks it up.
Oddball skin could just be like how Splitgate does it, i.e. show only when you are carrying it. A flag skin could be fun too.

I was thinking it should change on pickup, but having it stay the same would make rounds a little different each time when someone new grabs it first.
Still think it’s insane that they sold us pineapple grenades for our chest, but you can’t customize your grenades to be pineapple grenades. That would have been cool. I would have definitely bought it then.
The problem with objective Cosmetics is you might be the only person that sees it, because other people would also have cosmetic objectives. What is it going to do? Will it only be applied when you are holding it? Wouldn’t really give anyone time to notice before it’s grabbed again.

I think you’d see grenade skins the least out of any option. Probably most after you kill someone.
What I really want are some sword colour options like in MCC.
I like picking up other people’s weapons, seeing the skin and charm (I don’t use them otherwise), and then being surprised by any kill effects.
As I type this though, what I think would work best is that after 5 or 10 seconds holding the ball (not sure what a good time balance would be), it changes to your skin. You die and I pick up the ball. I see it’s that -Yoink!- Coltain21’s skin again, time ticks and it changes to my skin.
It would be cool if the skin options were the skull designs from various games or one that looks like Guilty Spark.
I reckon Banished weapons will be customisable down the track, need to leave the community wanting more of course.
Guilty Spark would be an awesome oddball skin.
