So ya this is a rant. People who play KOTH,CTF,Dominion know you need to cap/score/hold the areas. But now everyone is playing the game like its no point and lets the other team win just so they can pad up there K/D and not help there team win the match. And another if your going to play with a guest go play CUSTOM GAMES! stop bringing them into multiplayer is a instant loss for the team they are put on…
Next is that when people say go for the objective do it don’t sit around and just let the other team get the points. Oh and don’t sit in one place for to long cause I will betray you cause I hate campers this isn’t CoD nor is it halo 3 where camping was rampant.
Most players do play the objective game modes right and do good and win but when you just freaking get only kills and don’t help at all its just a slaughter fest.
As well 343I please remove the ability to bring a guest into matchmaking so its always real players playing not a split screen person who can’t tell what he or she is using.
Thats it for now maybe I should do more rants cause this commiunty has turn south cause of only kills are needed to win when its a cap/hold/grab game mode.
I agree with you that people need to PTFO a lot more in objective games. I find it especially bad in Dominion where only me and another guy are trying to capture bases while the rest of our team sits in our one base.
The guest thing your just going to have to get used to, bringing guests into matchmaking games has been something that every Halo since Halo 2 has allowed. I highly doubt they’re going to stop it.
What they could do is bring back the social and ranked playlists from Halo 3 that way you could play ranked and not worry about running into guests.
I think part of the problem is CTF and how you cant drop the flag. It inhibits team work. Me and my buddy had a system that he would grab the flag as I killed in the CQB cause I’m better at that. Then we would trade cause he was better at long range head shots. Picking up the flag is such a commitment now that the better players wont go near it cause they know there team will be at a disadvantage. Gone are the days of giving the flag to the worst player as the good ones guard him.
I get the guest has been in the game but to me it just ruins the fact that your on good streak of winning games and the BAM you get a guest and you lose then it just puts you in a bad mood and then you lose a game or 2.
I hope that 343 puts a patch in to let you drop the flag but I don’t think it will happen. I was playing KOTH and my team wasn’t even going for the hill just killing people not even going for the hill it pissed me off.
The first time in 2 weeks I have rage so hard at the game I took my headset off and threw it on my bed cause of how bad my team was I want to get a full team but none of my friends like to play matchmaking.
This is the way objective games are always going to be. I always play the objective but I do know that there are K/D padders out there that do frustrate me as well. Best suggestion to you is to work on getting a team together that you play with regularly. Check out Recruiting section you get some luck there.
I tried there no luck cause everyone wants only high SR and ppl who use DMR only.
This is why 343i should have taken k/d out of objectives. If only slayer games affected your k/d then people couldn’t stat pad in objective games and/or wouldn’t be afraid to actual play the objective.
Today I went 12-43 in KOTH his cause I was doing my best to get the hill but ever time I turned the corner I got naded and one shotted by a DMR or BR.
