I’m tossing my hat in the ring for Battle Royale ideas. Basically I want an objective based BR which can take place on the campaign maps. Before the game starts, a flag will be assigned to a random banished outpost.
Next, a fireteam of 5/4, will ODST drop pod onto the map at a random location, while still being fairly close to the flag. They will have basic weapons, either Battle Rifle and Sidekick, Assault Rifle and Sidekick, or Assault Rifle and Battle Rifle. They will also have 5 grappleshots. Now the fireteam will scavenge the ring for weapons and vehicles. They might also come into contact with the banished. The banished will be good sources of weapons and vehicles, or just places to camp. You can also find UNSC weapons including, Rocket Launchers (with limited ammo), Sniper Rifles (with limited ammo) and other weapons.
Using the tacmap, the players can find the flag’s current location (including when a player has it) and FOBs, FOBs allowing the flag to be captured. The tacmap would also show the scoreboard. Once at an FOB, there would be a one minute timer until a pelican comes down and picks up the players who currently have the flag.
The flag bearer should either have one of any weapon (the flag takes up a weapon slot) or a sidekick and the flag (like Halo 4/5).
For a player to respawn, they would either need to be at an FOB or should be able to spawn on their squad after 10-30 seconds. The latter method would keep combat fresher, while the former would allow easier flag captures. Whoever captures the flag first (or is the last squad standing) wins.
