Anyone else excited?
> Anyone else excited?
Hell yeah!!!
Yay!
Having 10 completely unavoidable grenades thrown at you while having the only not completely derp AA removed is going to be awesome!
sounds like squads part II
I have been waiting for objective to be 5 v 5 forever. Cant wait until the update.
This is something I’ve been wanting for a while. Minus the removal of Evade.

Cept no jetpack wooooo

This is a joke, correct?
Evade is highly flawed and has no place other than Elite Slayer/Invasion. Being able to make terrible stupid choices and get away from the consequences is something that has made Reach such an unbalanced game. Not to mention other AA’s, but think about it. Why do people use it?
A) Gets you across the map to the other teams side fast.
B) Let’s you retreat with ease.
C) Used with CQC it becomes a lethal combination.
D) Allows players to make stupid choices and get away with it.
E) Breaks map control
F) Allows you to flee a spawn trap.
Evade is tied with Jetpack in how stupid/OP it is.
Thank god 343 realized that it didn’t belong in OBJ. Can’t understand why Bungie thought it did, hell. That was just a dumb as when they put it in Arena.
Lets trim the list of problems so it applies to sprint

Oh wait, I didn’t need to trim anything.
Hello, I haven’t really been here before. I was curious why they made obj 5v5 instead of traditional 4v4?

Have not heard an explanation, but I assume 343 believe it will be popular and liked, thats the best I can think of.
Welcome to Waypoint =)
Thanks
Breaks tradition, but I guess it could make things a little funner though not sure how it’d affect competitiveness. Some really skilled people play in that playlist, so sometimes I avoid it unless rolling with a really good team (which isn’t often).

I think I read sarcasm in this somewhere …

I guess we should take everything out of the game then to make it fair, anything can be used to do any of the things you listed. Heck, why don’t we just get rid of all the Halo games. Your very highly biased opinion is not fact, just because you don’t like it or think it doesn’t work somewhere does not mean that you are automatically right. None of the AAs are in any way broken or overpowered, if you don’t like the way the game plays due to Halo’s continued evolution, then no one says you have to play it.
The only reason evade was added to objective is because Bungie figured having an imbalanced god mode ability would draw players into the playlist. It didn’t change anything. They tried teh same thing in Arena and it was a joke.
Evade does not belong in a game with long kill times. It makes encounters overbearingly long and tedious, and reduces the amount of viable strategic options to one(run in a pack and team shoot. -Yoink!- power weapons.) To top it off the gameplay and maps are already designed with the intention of lengthening encounters, which just compounds the problem. The game is better off without it.
The only way evade could work without being flat out annoying to deal with is if the weapon sandbox became much more powerful.
All playlists, no armor lock.
Now I’m excited!
I’m not excited. They took away Squad, the only playlist outside of MLG that you could find decent matches in for this?
Removing evade is a smart choice though. Terrible AA, just like the rest of them. And just to prove how dumb this idea of 5v5 obj is, I will be running Obj with a full team and holding the flag on teams on Zealot. With 5 people, it will be impossible to break out of their base. Good luck and good job 343.
Also it better not have party restrictions. Obj barely had any players in it as it was. Having Onyx Arena like search times would kill the playlist completely.

Zealot spawn trapping without Evade is going to be so much easier.
