You have an amazing look. It’s visually distinct. Your reload animation is so entertaining to watch.
You take a certain amount of skill to use. I must admit, when I first picked you up, I was boggled by how hard it was to kill someone with you. It took practice and a little bit of divine inspiration, but now I’m getting killing sprees on Powerhouse and The Cage as soon as I pick you up.
You have multiple firing modes. I can go for the straight shot and hope my aim is dead on, or I can hedge my bets and get a hit, although maybe not quite as powerful a hit. I can even leave a grenade as a mine for unwary Spartans.
Your pure entertainment value is more than enough. I can bank shots off walls, get insane comeback multikills if luck and skill are on my side, heck, even when I’m shooting 'nades back up into my face on accident I’m having a good time.
Please, 343, love the Grenade Launcher the way I do, and include it in Halo 4. We’ll be very grateful.
Oh brute shot, how you own thee vehicles with your flipping power and thee infantry with your bayonet.
Oh how you look so boss on my back when I get on my chopper to splatter victims.
Oh how you own with a one-shot then meelee combo.
Oh brute shot, how you are the ultimate grenade launcher, with your 4 to 6 rounds of death.
> yeah it most balanced grenade launcher ive seen in a game
I agree, it’s much better then the call of duty grenade launcher that doesn’t explode 99% of the time you fire it.
But i was just thinking, if you watch the trailer of Halo 4 master chief uses a grenade launcher pistol. Maybe it might just be an attachment in halo 4

Wouldn’t the concussion rifle be more of a knock-off then the grenade launcher? The concussion rifle and brute shot both work in a relatively similar way.

I’ve never played Halo 2, so I can’t speak for the brute shot there, but in Halo 3? Personally, I thought the Brute Shot was lame. There was no reason to drop my AR or BR to pick it up on vehicle-less maps, and even on maps with vehicles, there were so many other better weapons to pick up.
It might be heresy, but I like the concussion rifle better than the brute shot.
Of course, the grenade launcher beats both of those hands down.
The BS from H3 is definitely a unique weapon within its type. The Concussion Rifle does the primary job of the BS very well, but the lack of melee umph removes its brutality.
The GL is a sorely missed weapon type from Halo’s sandbox. It has the essence of the the H2BS in the explosive’s default use, but what I love about it is its secondary option of being a mine (aerial or land).

I love the grenade launcher. A power weapon that takes skill. It should be in Halo 4, completely unaltered. It works perfectly. One of the few things Reach did right.
Possibly my favourite addition to Halo in Reach. It’s deadly if you know how to use it and can use it. But if you’re randomly firing it within 10 feet of the enemy, you’re not gonna get the kill. It’s a really rewarding weapon to those skilled enough to use it effectively.
Plus I just love shooting down Banshees with it. One of the greatest feelings on any FPS is holding down the trigger on it and timing the detonation to perfection, and watching that Banshee fall helplessly to the ground.

Maybe because the concussion rifle is so much easier to use. The brute shot was more of a secondary you carried with your BR. If used effectively the Bruteshot had priority over even the shotgun.
