I came in and shot the guy twice (yes, I missed a lot of shots, I know, I know) and melee’d him, and then he melee’d me once and I died instantly. I thought 2 bursts from the BR + melee = kill, but I didn’t kill him. And I thought, except for a melee in the back, it took two melees to kill someone, but he melee’d me only once and I died. What am I missing here?
Because he shot the crap out of you with an SMG wich lowered your shields then he punched you. And if he wasn’t the one shooting you then it was his team mate behind you.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure he only punched me once–especially with how quickly he got that punch in after my melee. It didn’t really seem like he landed many, if any, shots on me, but I guess it’s possible he got just enough in or that a teammate from behind assisted. But, man, that was frustrating. I need to work on my BR aim. That, and I probably shouldn’t have gotten within melee range of him.
