If 343i does not provide a visible numerical ranking system, would you consider that as if they spitted in your face?
If not, are you against a ranking system?

If there is no numerical ranking system in Halo 4, I won’t even bother playing past month 1.
I’ll play it, sure, but there’s no reason for me to play if they aren’t giving me an incentive to keep going and better myself in every playlist. Yes, I am saying I’ll quit because of this. Probably won’t care about Halo 5 if that happens, nor 6. I’ve been avid fan since Halo 2’s online, and if H4 does not make me feel the way H2 did then I will give up on this series.

NO, and NO
I think a lot of people are hoping for a 1-50 style Ranking system and I hope halo 4 has one
in my mind its helpful with the competitive people coming back day in, and day out …
Arena was a failure in most peoples minds …
But only 343i has thes power to add one so in, the end all we can do is hope …
Only time will tell how halo 4 turns out .

I feel the exact same way. Been playing halo since the original xbox launch and almost every single one of my friends that I enjoyed playing halo 1 with and then halo 2 have quit because of either halo 3 or halo reach. I’ll give 343 one chance.
Without a numerical ranking system that has ranks in separate playlists I’ll probably play for 2-3 months and then return to Halo 3 until it dies.
It really all depends on how great their classic playlists are for me.
Basically what they said. The ranking system gives me a reason to keep playing. I was pretty bad at Halo 3 but I still loved to try and rank up.
Id like both. I feel better saying im a colonel grade 3 over saying im lv. 40

Exactly.
I need a incentive to keep playing the game after its release.
And that incentive also gives me the incentive to preorder. But the incentive is as vague as the surface of Uranus right now. Running out of time to preoder and get multiplayer exclusives.
This won’t stop me at all, I mean yea I like feeling like I have a goal to reach. But, to be honest, I play my games for fun. I don’t need a number beside my name to enjoy playing. I play with my friends who I no longer get to see very often anymore (ex-military child). And it gives me an opportunity to hang out. It shouldn’t be a game breaker for ANYONE to quit playing because there are no ranks like that.
It seems like a trivial reason to me for quitting if you enjoy playing the game.
Meh rank doesnt mean much to me its a goal sure but it seems thats al people care about anymore in any game aminly hao and cod though.NUMBERS!
