Nudity or sex scene?

How likely is this game to have nudity or a -Yoink!- scene? Neither would fit with Halo at all, and the only thing I can see being in there is maybe Cortana will have -Yoink!-?

There has been exactly one -Yoink!- scene in all of Halo lore, and that included the legendary Sergeant Avery Johnson. If I am forgetting another scene, then please enlighten me. But unless someone else with the bearing and command presence of Johnson comes to Halo, I think we’ve seen our first, final, and only -Yoink!- scene in all of Halo.

Nooooooooooo. I want Halo to go back to its mature roots, but not THAT far.

The chances are zero Cortana in Halo 4 is the most extreme case we’ve ever got and I hated it. That’s not way people play halo we play it for its story, gameplay and multiplayer not for graphic content like that and if we did we’d all be playing the Witcher games instead.

Seems preeetty unlikely. Cortana would be the only “nude” character, and that just depends on how…explicit they design her image to be. She should look feminine, but shouldn’t be over-sexualised.

Considering there is no blood in Halo 5, I’d say there is zero chance we get close to even a hug.

With all the crazy weapons in Halo, I wish we had dismemberment and gore. Do you really believe that getting knocked out with a gravity hammer spills no blood? One swing should separate your torso from the rest of your limbs. Energy sword should be able to pierce through you and grenades should turn grunts into purple paste.

Imagine Halo but with Doom level of gore basically.

Halo is being conscientiously de-escalated when it comes to adult themes, and as others have said, even with that in consideration the series hasn’t ever been infamous for sexually suggestive content. Cortana as a character is the only major exception to this in the games as far as I can think-- obviously, she’s scantily clad and I do recall that being somewhat contraversial as a small kid (I live in one of the more puritanically religious areas in the US so this was probably exaggerated here).

Even counting Cortana, though, she’s only suggestive; She’s hot, and she’s got a casually flirtatious rapport with some of the other characters, somerimes (“Bet you can’t stick it,” “He never gets me anything,” etc.). She isn’t sexually objectified even to the level of jiggle-physics in fighting games, some of which get rated T. In Halo 4 and 5, she’s moved even further away from the objectified camp by being treated as a vitally important and super vulnerable character (I’m not a huge fan of the way precisely 343i has done this, but it can’t be denied that they have, and it is a good thing that she’s being taken even more seriously than in 1-3 overall).

Bottom line is that MS and 343i want Halo to be more accessible to more audiences, including the kids and teen market (Mattel has a Halo toy license, there’s a YA novel series, and children were featured in at least some Outpost Discovery adverts). They’re not going to go further than any of the earlier games when it comes to pushing -Yoink!-; and none of the earlier games pushed it very far to begin with.

Just like gratuitous gore, though, I don’t see why it would be a net negative if overt sexual themes were omitted. Was Halo really ever about these things to people?
