The flying warthog achievement. I hate this achievement with a passion. Can 343 really be this -Yoinking!- dumb?
Just do the grenade in a lift on shatter thing - that’s how I got it.
Haha it was a good idea, but frustrating for those who want 100%. I don’t have it yet, and I want 100%, but I guess I don’t have the stupid DLC anymore after the trail so I can’t get the rest anyway

There is a glitch that can unlock that one by throwing a sticky nade in one of the lifts in a base on Shatter. If you’re some distance away from it, you’ll get a few medals and the achievement. My problem with it is that my nades won’t -Yoinking!- stay in the lift.
The jumps on Harvest are just too big. How do they expect you to get this if you as the gunner cannot get a good angle on anything? Your only hope otherwise is to get in the side seat with a power weapon. Even when the game type is KoTH, I still can never manage to get an aerial kill because of these stupid jumps.

I think gunner only. I got a splatter in the air on wreckage, but I’m not sure if it didn’t register correctly as a mid-air spllater. So it might work.

You can do it on any of these ways:
Splatter someone when you land from a man cannon or a regular jump.
Be a passenger and get a kill while the hog is jumping
Use the turret to kill someone while in mid air (Difficult to do)
Or get lucky enough to enter a passenger seat of an enemy warthog and melle the driver to death when the warthog is jumping.

Well the issue with the splatter one is that some times even tho you splatter it doesnt register it, also if a user has full shields some times when the warthog lands it only takes off their shields but they dont die.
Gunner is hard because most jumps make the turrent point to the sky so as a gunner you dont have a good angle for a shot.
If you are a passenger id recommend havign a rocket launcher so that you can do aereal kills.
I did ge tmine by landing on someone but a friend of mine got it by entering the passenger seat and beating the driver while in mid air so I know that method also works.
Guys, I realize this might seem hard, but all you need is to have a friend drive you on harvest on one of those cliffs. and be in the passenger seat with a rocket launcher.

Not that simple. You need luck just to get a rocket launcher and a passenger seat.

Really? I never find it hard to get a passenger seat. as for the rocket, you’re right, but there are alternatives… crap, now that I think about it, this is a hard achievement.
i got mine while using a Rail Gun in the passenger seat you just need to get lucky thats all having a game of KOTH on Harvest i found was the better chance a hill spawns next to one of the jumps out in the open.
my friend also got his by boarding a enemy warthog as the passenger, waited till it launched off a ramp and looked at the driver and did a double melee

me too, and i didn’t even get a kill. the plasma nade went off without killing anyone, gave me a bunch of medals and the achievement. clip is in my fileshare. not that fileshares work or anything.

to get the nade to stay bouncing in the lift, you have to throw it at the wall and let it bounce into the grav lift.

forgot to mention that it’s easiest to get the nade bouncing from the top level.
