I can’t stand try hards always choosing slayer game type no matter what play list I choose. Smh
You don’t want to segregate the population any further. I imagine it’s already pretty low…
“SEPARATE TEAM BR SLAYER BR FROM OBJECTIVE AND”…and what?
objective game types also have battle rifles. I think the real solution to this here problem, is for you to go pick up a new video game.

Objective games force the noobs who think they’re good because they can stand across the map and press a button, to move around not just hold one spot like a -Yoink!-. Seriously. If you’re holding some high ground along with team mates just firing on spawn points to get kills in slayer you’re not good. You’re a loser

And this game might actually be pretty good again :). I spent 80% of my time in halo since halo 2 playing objective. It was always more fun. Now I’m forced into slayer matches all the time. If I want slayer I’ll pick the slayer list.
The “tryhards” are the ones who want to do objectives because you have to actually TRY in them and can’t just run around by yourself. And maybe objectives would get picked more if you didn’t start with worthless SMGs in them in H2.

this.
and gg last night jake as you stomped my face in
Yea OP, you don’t understand halo.
As someone mentioned, BR starts are in obj types as well. Obj should have it’s own play list, but there will never be a separate play list for BR slayer.
I find most of these DURR BR TAKES NO SKILL arguments com from terrible players who aren’t good with the BR themselves. I guarantee all of these “try hards” who vote BR starts would throttle you regardless of the starting weapon. You’ll actually be worse off starting with a helpless AR as they spawn kill you non stop with map BRs and powe weapons.
As has been the notion when bungie admitted SMG starts being the default was a poor decision and subsequently introducing BR starts, get used to starting with it or find a new game. You could always make some friends to control the party vote as well.

I don’t understand halo. Only been playing it for 12 years lol. Wow. And apparently you totally don’t get my point either. Halo has ALWAYS separated objective from slayer. That is what my point was. I don’t want to play slayer period. It’s boring as hell! My argument was if an objective game comes up they always pick slayer. So I literally can’t get a game of objective anymore. Just mindless slayer br games. Why don’t you read before you comment instead of reading the word letters br and assume you know what I was talking about.
I can’t get an objective game either – 4 games in a row were Slayer BR yesterday. It’s great that matchmaking is fixed, but I don’t find Slayer games fun as the tacticals available are too limited and players don’t play as a team.
As for the BR question, personally I think using a BR well takes a lot of skill – just like using a sniper, sword, rockets, etc do. The point is that BR is really a power weapon. SMG, plasma rifle and even AR are all weaker. I thought pro players liked timed power weapon spawns, knowing placement etc? If BRs are only on the map then that adds another tactical element to getting them, controlling the spawns et cetera. And by having SMG at a base level, time-to-death is a little longer, which makes Halo’s traditional slower, more tactical combat encounters all the better to savor. If you want insta-headshots across the map and no having to think about tactics or power positions, that’s what COD is for.
