Now I like Halo 5

Now I like Halo 5, don’t get me wrong its a great game and I play it when I can.
The arena is the best I have ever played, I really enjoy a few matches a day after work. I can’t say much for warzone I rarely play it as it really does not interest me.
But here is the main point I was going to talk about. The poorly written shoddy campaign. It added new characters to the game, i.e blue team in the game which was wanted years ago. But they should have been like the characters in Reach. This would mean it was always yourself and your a.i team. This would have let a co-op player just join as another join as another Chief which would have been awesome and no need for the crappy revive mechanic. Resulting in a more familiar Halo experience.
Other than Buck, everyone on Locke’s team are despised or un -known characters unless you read the books and comics. I do not read the comics where Tanaka comes from so have no idea who she is. Vale was a weak character in a book and now a Spartan, it beggars belief.
I believe 343 should fire the writer of Halo 5, get a better story going to the finish. That, or Microsoft should take heed and sack them off entirely. Then a new company could arise and make Halo 4 campaign the game it was supposed to be and we all forget the bump in the road that was 343.
Yes Halo 4 as if 343 never happened.
No offense to 343, but they try too hard and it always feels lacklustre. Look at all the trailers for Halo 5 and the money spent Microsoft, and think this could be better spent on another more worthy company!

The characters were what really killed it for me. None of them had any charisma that drew me toward liking their characters like in the previous Halos. After playing ODST recently, I’ve realized that Buck was a pale shadow of his former self in 5 and was only comic relief. The arbiter was reduced to little more than an alien ranting about how he was gonna destroy the Covenant. Locke was flat. Tanaka was flat. Vale’s only purpose seemed to serve as annoying commentary to try to reference EU and she seemingly has no unique skill other than speaking Sangheili and using a plasma pistol, leaving us wondering why a useless character like this is even on Osiris, supposedly one of the most elite spartan teams.
And the Master Chief…
In Halo 1-3, chief didn’t was a faceless soldier with little dialogue. However, the little dialogue he did have hinted at his character and made us want to know more about him
In Halo 4, chief has a lot of dialogue which serves to flesh out his relationship with Cortana, revealing a new aspect of his character.
In Halo 5, he has a lot of dialogue and we still really don’t learn anything new about him. He pretty much took the biggest hit in terms of quality of character.
Don’t even get me started on Blue team.

Your not wrong there matey regarding Buck. I feel they only put him in to drag in a few odst fans and because bungie had old Fillion in their game also.
