Now, I have a question.

I see people critisizing Locke for being “boring” and “a soldier who’s only purpose is to follow orders” and “he doesn’t think for himself.” They basically described the Master Chief in Halo CE-3, granted he did have a more “human” moment in Halo 3 on High Charity, but John-117 was boring if you didn’t read the books. He was the cliched “badass, strong-silent soldier.” Halo 4 sorta fixed that, but Halo 5 really showed us that Master Chief wasn’t just an emotionless, robotic super-soldier.

Halo CE-3 Master Chief-117 levels of badassery-1 to 3 games of character development=Agent Locke

Halo 4-5 Master Chief-117 levels of badassery-4 to 5 games of character development-a good character core=Agent Locke

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Everybody knows I’m right so they don’t answer.

/sarcasm

Just about to ask the same thing

The question was “Why do people critisize Locke’s character for being underdeveloped, when he’s only been in one game?”

People want to have a reason to complain? Honestly didn’t have any issues with Locke at all

To be fair, I’m neither a fan of the MC nor Locke

I thought Locke was pretty cool, someone mentioned in a thread that his clear reluctance to actually take down chief was interesting. I agree.

I wouldn’t go as far to say he is under developed, he just isn’t interesting and on top of that the whole game felt like 343 was shoving him down our throat while making our boy look like a pansy
