With the infallible (ha) Google timer counting down to the 15th and the leaked images of the Multiplayer Early Access Bundle in the store, there are rumblings in the community about getting the multiplayer earlier than expected. What are your thoughts on this, and if not, what sort of things would you like to see on the anniversary in its stead?

We will not get it on November 15th, zero chance as the game likely won’t be done by then.
November 15th they’ll announce an early access bundle, show some Infection maybe Extraction, maybe we’ll see another BTB map, then we’ll just have to suffer the longest 3 weeks in recorded history.

Seriously, there won’t be anything playable on the 15th. People should really stop blowing things out of proportion and turn them into rumors.
There’s nothing to speculate, mate. There’s literally no official source of any whatsoever kind that you could base this assumption on. It is not Google developing and publishing H:I.

I wish 343i would post something to confirm it is fake or real though. But they don’t say anything.

I really think they’d announce it before if it was released early if for no other reason so people can preload so the population is healthy on day one and so they can say “we had x million players on day 1”,similar to the Forza story. So I don’t think Monday is a release - just a huge info dump… Although I’d be more than happy if I was wrong

I see it as being more advantageous for 343 to do a surprise drop on Monday actually. That way all the fans that are more hardcore and follow all the news will actually be able to play without the servers crashing constantly. I imagine it’s easier on the servers if traffic increases more gradually. They’d also get a lot of positive news attention if they did a surprise release.

With rumours like this and xbox event being so big, I would of thought xbox or 343 would of shut rumours down early so people didn’t get too hyped, but something huge is going on as internet going nuts, even Pringles site doing countdown, things like this always get shut down and locked by 343, and yet nothing…
It would literally put Halo as king of the hill and dominate Nov-Dec, not to mention console sales ahead of Black Friday if mp dropped early

Well something will happen on the 15th I doubt its going to be what everyone wants it to be though.
but tiniest part of my brain is like

There are so many reasons for them to not surprise drop it on Monday so it seems really unlikely.

They won’t get as many day one players, which is something that is often used as a measure of how successful a game is.

People have taken work off on dec 8 to play and many would be bothered by an early release.

Separating campaign and multiplayer would be a less cohesive launch than if they launched together and many people like to play campaign first to get a feel of the game.

If the multiplayer isn’t completely flawless and bug free for the surprise launch people will be upset that 343 didn’t take more time and release it on the scheduled day.
5.Campaign spoilers could be datamined from the multiplayer files.
- If the multiplayer isn’t as amazing as everyone expects people would cancel their campaign preorders.
So I think it’s very unlikely to surprise release and if it did it could very easily backfire.
Although it is strange that 343 has let this rumour get this far without shutting it down because now if it doesn’t release on Monday, whatever they do announce for the 20th anniversary will be disappointing by comparison so there are negative repercussions either way at this point.
Edit - 7. Dec 8 was specifically chosen to avoid cod and battlefield releases

One thing to note is that the new Warzone map is surely trying to undercut Halo since it releases on December 9th. I almost think that a new Warzone map would have more influence than a new COD, given its playerbase.

I would be in heaven if the MP gates opened early on Nov 15, but my feelings are:
- Speculation builds buzz for the Xbox 20th anniversary event, and the lack of response from MS or 343i knowingly feeds this speculation.
- Total guess, but something I could see them doing in their mindset of treating this as a Live-Service Day 1 and not a traditional game release: opening an “early access” lead-up to official launch that’s narrowly restricted to certain modes–essentially like a full public beta–to excuse any stress testing as “beta/early access”. This would help explain the [rumored] found code establishing Nov 15 as a season start.

Just want to remind everyone it’s perfectly fine to be excited that it might happen, but don’t freak out if it doesn’t. This is still just a rumor so if you took the day off of work/school to play it and it doesn’t release, that’s solely on you.

Agreed. I am treading it like any other day. I have high hopes, but if it doesn’t all well, still got Dec 8th just around the corner. I am wondering what Xbox has planned for tomorrow though for the 20th Anniversary. Will be sad if there is no Halo Infinite or Halo in general news.
There is gonna be news on the halo tv show tomorrow so if nothing else happens that’s something
