November 10 or September 22?

Frankie may have debunked the “385 day countdown” theory that pinned Halo 5’s release on November 10, 2015 as mere coincendence, but he also said “by all means carry on.”

And so, given that he appears to hint that November 10 is still a possibility, by all means, let us carry on…

Past Halo games (minus Reach, CE, Wars, and SA) have either launched on the first Tuesday after the first Friday of November, or on the Tuesday of the fourth week of September.

That puts us on September 22, 2015, or November 10, 2015.

Which of the two are you expecting?

EDIT: Just to clarify why a September release was even brought up at all as a possibility as opposed to the more common November release, the primary reason is because 343i used the words “Fall 2015.” In most cases, November releases are signified by the use of the word “Holiday” rather than “Fall.”

november 10th seems more likely. I mean the 22 would be nice, but I think it would push it a tad bit.

I would rather have a completely polish game then a half crap game. exp of this is battlefield 4

If the beta will have good results a september release would be nice, however, deciding the release date before the beta would be a bad move, so the release will be revealed probably around march-april.

September 22nd obviously. S(Spartan) 2+2=4 thus Spartan IVs. Also 2+0+1+5= 8 aka the eighth Halo game including Tablet versions.
Whoever doesn’t agree with this basic knowledge is just a troll. Il also add there is no mention to 117 in there as Locke is a new character and we don’t yet know his tag number, hopefully it will be 815 because I like that number.

I look at it like 11-10-15 is the absolutely last possible launch date, but if H5G is ready sooner it will come out early

I think that November 10 is the more likely release date.

I myself am going to argue towards 9/22.

And this is not only because of how November releases are generally advertised with “Holiday 2015” rather than “Fall 2015,” but also because of how Halo 5 and the TV series are to be launched at “roughly the same time” and in most cases, TV shows that air in the fall begin in September and not November.

Halo 4 was announced as “Holiday 2012” rather than “Fall 2012.”

But then again, “roughly the same time” could be referring to a two-month difference rather than the small and insignificant difference (the Sunday before the 22) that I interpreted it as.

Can’t argue with that logic.

But I’m going to! I’m going to say the 10th of November solely because that gives a good year after the MCC. Though I’m hoping the 22nd since it’s earlier. :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT: As for the whole ‘Fall/Holiday’ thing, they more than likely don’t really even have a release date set yet. Game’s said relase are always subject to change within a year’s time.

Halo 5: Guardians would be the third Halo game to be released in a September month.

September is the ninth month and “September” and “Half-Life” are both made up of nine characters.

9 = 3 x 3
Half-Life 3 confirmed

November 10th, 2015.

It seems to me that launching games in November has basically become an industry standard at this point.

The earlier the better

If I had to guess, November 10th. They wouldn’t release it that early into the Fall.

I laughed at the news that they dismissed the 10th. It seems more than likely to me

Sept 22 is my birthday. That would be an awesome gift lol

I think it’ll be a full year after TMCC.

I agree!

Well, that depends on the state of the product.

May not be worth it to have an early release date if that means losing some critical polishing or abandoning some concepts.

…AND, of course,

4+8=12

1+2=3

Half-Life 3 will never be confirmed, and isn’t even in development.
