No emblem? Nothing? They were pushing out emblems for thanksgiving, christmas, for the end of each of their “seasons”, and they had a game mode for valentines day, kind of makes me surprised that they missed the opportunity to have an emblem honoring veterans seeing how this game is based on the military and its soldiers. I was also surprised that they did nothing for april fools, new years and easter. Huge missed opportunity to have an april fools joke where guns shot confetti or the playlists were mixed up.

Yeah its an American Holiday where we honor and remember our fallen soldiers. I know Black ops 3 and a couple other games are doing various things to honor it today.
Well, to be honest, Memorial day isn’t exactly international, sure, the same could be said for Thanksgiving, but it and Christmas are more well known, and more people look forward to those holidays.

Yeah its true I just kind of figured with the games deep lore being from the military that they might do a small nod like one emblem or something that says “spartans never die” or something like that. I think it would have been really cool and they are a US based company and Memorial Day is a huge deal here.
It is out of pattern, but oh well.

I remember getting the thanksgiving one first thing in the morning. I thought it was just big updates that dropped at noonish time. Either way if they do end up putting something in thatd be awesome, if not then oh well.
I’m assuming they’ll be a live stream today, and if there is, then we’ll see it. I’d love an emblem with the icon helmet, rifle and boots memorial except a spartan helmet and DMR/BR. Heck, if they did a $5 pack that all went to say Wounded Warrior project or something to support our veterans, I’d hop all over that.
Maybe they didn’t do it because it isn’t something that is recognized all over the world.

I had no idea what Memorial Day was until this thread mentioned it. I guess that’s why they didn’t do anything.

The thanksgiving one was already programmed in the game 2 weeks before it officially released. I had made a thread about it at the time because it was showing in my REQ collection early.

Our family roots have been tied to the military for generations… I always support our troops and the families tied to them. It would be very nice if 343i came up with something to show honor and respect to our vets… I know id wear it to show support but also because I am a vet…
