I gave up on H5 a while back but this rocket weekend thing looks like pure old school mayhem shenanigans except for this enhanced shields malarkey which undermines the whole idea of rocket chaos and just keeps H5 as a ultra tryhard competitive esport epeen measuring contest. Oh well maybe it will be worth coming back to give it a go.

Why can’t it be used? It has its own commendations so why not? They have it on other maps in arena.

It’s not a choosable weapon in the gametype settings. At least, as far as custom games go.
I mean, if 343 wanted to, they could probably force the SPNKR rocket as a starting weapon using their own tools, but we can’t. Thus, I’m guessing an oversight.
Or a thinly veiled way to encourage us to pay for REQs, but I’d think it would be an oversight if it’s being offered in Forge.

It can be placed in Forge but it’s not available in the custom game weapon settings.
The H2 Battle Rifle that’s being released with the January update is the same way.

I say mix it up, use both rockets in different gametypes. But yea it was a lot of fun.
