Not recognizing limited edition

I purchased the limited edition for Halo 4. I saw all the specializations and figured things were good. When the Crimson map pack came out, I could not play them and I never received and still have not received a code (if that is what has to happen). I did enter the code that came with it for the: Specializations;Skins;Emblem;Map PK. Now when I enter it is said it has been redeemed.

Also, my computer can’t pull up the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn on Waypoint. It says I need a limited edition. What am I missing? Anything else I need to do?

I did play with a non limited edition Halo 4 midnight of the release until my LE discs came from Amazon. Not sure if that is what the problem is but only thing I can think of.

Help please

FUD code and redownload mapp pass from history.

other than that i barely understand your question

Sometimes my specs are gone too, could be a server problem. restarting the 360 solves the problem. otherwise do as ablivia says, the prime skin code is the LE code you need for the map pack.

Ablivia,

I could not find my original post. So I posted again. Here’s my latest post and I hope you understand it better here:

I bought 4 halo 4 for my son and I. The first two were at the midnight release and they were the regular Halo 4’s. I preordered 2 limited editions to be received later than the midnight release.

We played the regular version until our limited editions showed up. When I received the limited edition I installed the new disk 2 and all the other stuff. I entered the code listed on the card and all my specializations showed up and I believed all was good. I had been playing not knowing otherwise. Then I logged on the halo waypoint and tried to get into the Forward Unto Dawn and it said I needed the limited edition. I figured it was a web glitch and it would be fixed and just decided to try again another day. Then when the Crimson Map Pk came out. I never received a code and I still haven’t and I couldn’t play the maps. So I bought the maps so I could play them. I tried again to log into the Forward Unto Dawn and it still says I can’t because I need limited edition. So now, I realize it is not completely recognizing me as having the limited edition. It is PARTIALLY recognizing me because I still have the specializations (I’m lvl 115).

All that being said, what do I have to do to get it to COMPLETELY recognize the limited edition. What am I missing? Anything I need to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

Basically, I’m not being recognized as having a limited edition. I see that as having to pay for all future map packs plus having to pay to watch Forward Unto Dawn again. All these things which were supposed to be included in the limited edition.

Does this answer your question better?

One thread per topis please (I’ll repost my post here, but lock the other thread)

  1. With viewing the FUD video (I’m assuming you entered the code), try logging into the Waypoint app on the Xbox 360. I couldn’t access it till I did that and I haven’t had any issue since.

  2. With the maps, did you try downloading them from the in-game marketplace first? Since the limited edition comes with a War Games Map Pass as part of group of features (Specializations, map pass, skins, and the emblem), you’ll need to download it from the in-game marketplace (the one in the start menu). Otherwise if you just buy it from the regular marketplace, you’ll get charged 800 MSP.

On the FUD code. It has a water spot on one of the letters/number that looks like an 8. When I enter the code it says it is not valid. I had entered it before and it said everything would be good for the web based or console based. So that is an all together difficult issue.

I have the maps and play them regularly. I just am noting the issue and hope some resolution prior to the release of the future map packs. Just an expense I am trying to avoid.

Thanks Blitze.

I did go to the market place and it charged me. That’s how I knew it wasn’t recognizing it. I have logged into the app on the xbox. I’ll do it again and look around a tad more. I could not find the FUD from the Xbox waypoint tho. I looked there first.

As long as Forward Unto Dawn appears in your download history, there shouldn’t be any issue with it. But you will need to log into the Waypoint Xbox app (I believe it’s for registration reasons). A message should pop up after the app finishes “retrieving data”. FUD should also appear over a few tabs to the right on the main menu in the Waypoint app on the Xbox, try and see if you can access it there too.

Just want to make sure, did you get the maps from the standard marketplace, or the in-game marketplace? If you did just get it off the regular marketplace and not the marketplace from the in-game menu, there isn’t a way for it to recognize that you have the map pass (It even says: “If you own Halo 4’s “War Game Map Pass,” DO NOT purchase this content here as you will be charged again.”)
