I’ve watched Episode 2 and 3 of Nightfall and sure enough the awards “unlocked”. On the MCC the Swarm skull and the two emblems are still showing as locked. I hope there is a way to fix this as I plan on watching it all.
I can verify that you have watched, and unlocked all of the above (and more). Other that suggesting a deep power down (unplug your kit, leave it unplugged for about 3 minutes) and then power on and launch MCC, which should refresh the cache, I have no idea at the moment, but I will continue to look around to see if anyone has encountered this internally. If that does help, let me know… if it doesn’t, let me know as well. Am curious about this one because we haven’t seen it here…

I tried the deep power down and nothing changed
This also happened to me iv watched all 5 epsiodes and it says unlocked but when iget into the game its still locked and also im having problems with achivements idk if its a halo bugg or xbox bug but i know that ive completed it and it shows it has been completed but it doesnt give me the achivement
Will spin up a bug report on this issue as well, and start the investigation within the next day or so. Again, as with the other issue we are working on, if you see folks posting about this issue, point them to this thread, and have them note the problem they are having. The more data points I gather, the faster I can get a more complete picture and narrow the testing down so we can capture the problem.

I’m having the same issue, just got the XB1/MCC bundle last week, I just finished watching the five Nightfall episodes, Halo channel says I’ve watched all five episodes and unlocked all eight rewards but in-game all of the MCC rewards for watching Nightfall are still locked.
As far as I can determine, this is probably impacting everyone, and we have already escalated the issue. Since the data that is required to unlock it correctly gets recorded, we are pretty certain that when the investigation is completed, we will be able to resolve the issue. We are, at the moment, maintaining the error state for the integrity of the investigation.

Been checking this every day for the past three days, glad to see you guys are on the ball, keep up the great work 
As an update, just wanted to give folks an idea of what happens when an issue like this is found and verified:
When folks report issues in the forum, we generally try to reproduce them in our test area, trying to reproduce the steps as posted, as closely as possible. As you can imagine, this can be a daunting task as most of the initial reports rarely have a full scenario, and we have to guess a lot, or in this case, we have to get lucky in that there is really only one direct path to the issue.
Once we understand the issue, and start our investigation, we generally end up using 5+ accounts to verify that it is fully reproducible, and not a fluke. Once we have the steps, have the data associated with the error, we file an official bug report, and package everything up as nice and neat as possible to hand off to a game team.
Once it hits that side of the fence, we get infrequent updates, as they have to look into solutions, test fixes, etc. It becomes a waiting game at that point, as we expect the game team to do the full test cycle on their systems, collecting more data, finding a fix, and so on. Once fixes are found and coded, they generally have to be bundled into an upcoming update, which while slower than most would like, does prevent folks from having to download a daily update.
Just a bit of a simplified insight into the process, but gives the overall scope of anything that has to be processed through. Hope that helps folks understand that while we can identify issues, we can’t guess as to the ETA on a fix.
I noticed today that all of the MCC rewards for watching Nightfall unlocked for me. I had previously pressed the menu/start button over the MCC window to manually quit it but that had no effect on unlocking the rewards, neither did signing out of and back into my account. I just learned yesterday that with default settings the XB1 doesn’t turn off when you turn it off, it simply goes into sleep mode. I changed it to power saving mode so it does actually power down and about a day after I did that I noticed that the MCC Nightfall rewards had unlocked.
We believe a fix was able to allow these items to become unlocked, and it should be propagating through the system. If anyone continues to have issues, please let me know, as we believe this fix should apply retroactively, as well as moving forward.
I’m still having trouble unlocking all halo nightfall rewards. Watched every episode several times and tried all the methods described above. Nothing worked for me. All second stories are unlocked, but none of the rewards. I ve downloded the MCC and Nightfall episodes with the codes of my xbox One bundle. Please help me. Thx
Having the same problem Schumi has. 0/8 rewards after watching the full TV series twice. Second stories all unlocked.

Starting to investigate this issue now… If any of those affected by this issue happen to have a Windows 8.1 PC, could you try to watch and unlock from that platform as well? Trying to eliminate some specific issues, and checking to see if there is something specific to one platform as compared to another.
Quick question to anyone having this issue, to verify that I have the correct data:
When you watch an episode of Nightfall, you do get all of the 2nd Stories unlocked, but the Rewards do not unlock, correct? And by unlock, I mean that in the Rewards screen, it shows 0/8 and that they still have the locked artwork, etc? Or do they actually unlock in the app, but do not unlock the actual rewards in game?
Just trying to get to the core cause as quickly as I can!

Hi, I tried going Fast Forward though the first two episodes of Nightfall, this time on the PC-App. The result is still the same, 3/3 second stories unlocked, rewards 0/8 and nothing unlocked in my game (artwork etc.)
I have watched all the Nightfall episodes and received all the “second stories” and “rewards” on my Halo Channel, but the rewards are not transferring over into the actual game. Neither the skull, emblem, helmet, or armor are accessible in my Halo game.
