Not receiving DLC Blitz Packs

Was directed here by Microsft Xbox Support, since they do not have control over blitz packs according to the tech I talked to.

I have the season pass for Halo Wars 2, and have been getting the released leaders as I should. I also just bought the Awakened Nightmare DLC separately from the season pass.

While having access to these new leaders and campaigns fine, I have received no new blitz card packs to accompany the leaders. My buddy has shown me he has gotten 5 packs per leader release, including Nightmare. In the time ive played the game I did have the initial day 1 packs, and have received ones for leveling up and completing campaign missions. But no new DLC related packs have appeared in my packs section since day 1.

Heya, you don’t actually own the Season Pass or even the Base Game with the account you are posting from. It looks like you are playing on someone else’s license, which means someone else owns the game and installed it on your machine. This would allow you to play with the new leaders, but does not give you access to receiving Blitz cards.

Strange. I recently Built a new PC and ran into licensing issues with Microsoft when installing windows 10, getting things transferred over. I have a brand new motherboard, Hardrive, etc. installed that about a month ago. I also JUST bought awakening nightmare for this “version” of the game im playing on…wouldnt I have atleast gotten the cards for that too? or is it all locked behind this licensing problem?

Trying to do my own research, I see in my Microsoft store on my account that I have in my library Awakening Nightmare, HW2 Season pass, and Halo wars 2 Ultimate Edition with the tag “you own this product”. There is then a Halo wars 2 game, that just says “this game is installed” Looks like there are 2 copies of the game here for some reason. I am going to uninstall and reinstall the HW2 Ultimate Edition and see if my problem is fixed. Both say “play” though…

So it seems the game was purchased with a blank account microsoft gave me back on my old PC that i had used to install windows a few years ago. The game was purchased on that account while my gamertag and achievements are connected to this one. the purchase was made too long ago for them to refund, so im stuck with split licenses. From 343s end case closed. Thank you.

Perhaps you could talk to the Microsoft customer support and have the account licenses transferred? You should be able to prove ownership by login info. I don’t know if this will work. Direct Message me the account that does own it, and I will see if there is anything I can do.
