Innovation in the video game business is always a good idea. Fans will always be coming back to your sequels if you keep the story changing, and the mechanics enhanced.
Halo 2 was very fun to me. Me and my 3 brothers would go to this place called “Open Gym” it was quite odd though because it wasn’t as much gym as it was a “system link Halo 2 4v4 In the weight room” We would go their every day of the summer when it was open and we would just play for the 5 hours that open gym lasted. It was amazingly fun, me and my 3 brothers all agreed this was the best and funnest game any of us ever played, it was addicting, you wanted to go back to the xbox and play again after a match. It was just such a great multiplayer.
Then Halo 3 lived up to its hype, with many cool additions and a few not so great additions, it was still a very heart pounding meaningful experience to play it. Especially when i got xbox live finally in 2008, it was unbelievably playing not with 1 other friend at my house, but 15 other players! It was extremely fun to me and since i got xbox live me and my friend would play that game on LIVE all day from when we woke up until we went to sleep. And then forge? After a couple of days of downloading xbox live someone invited us to a custom game of infection on this really cool map on foundry. at first i thought they were modding or something, but they said “I made it in forge” and i thought “How?” since i didn’t try forging on foundry yet at the time. and then i started making all these maps of my own.
Halo was an experience, not just a video game. Halo reach brought many cool additions to the table, but it also took out some fan favorites.
Grav lifts,
dual wielding,
bleedthrough,
overshield being noticable,
oversheilds and camo being on maps,
being able to walk with camo and not being noticed or coming up on radar,
replacing hornet with under powered falcon
changing the controls to fit armor abilities
no fall damage
and many other changes which really took away from the game instead of adding to it.
please, make halo 4 like you did halo 2 and 3, just ADD things to it, don’t take away things (except armor abilties) but just add new features and add new things.
