Not liking the return of the space diapers.

In Reach. I like my femme fatales Spartan. I liked the Halo 4 and 5 Spartans. But halo infinite? I do not like it, no sir! What gives?

Femme fatales? What?

Halo Reach had cod pieces too dud

i think its more practical to have the space diapers. I never noticed it too much so it really isnt an issue if its present or not

What gives is the bulk of the community wanted 343i to take bigger cues from the classic bungie design style, in their new designs. This is the visual language halo has had exclusively for the bulk of it’s existence and what the vast majority of fans want and actively asked for. I find it surprising that you didn’t infer this, being an active user of waypoint.
Art style comes up a lot on here.

Space diapers restrict movement and cause unnatural leg spacing for males if you want to avoid clipping.

The undersuits are also armor, just more flexible.

Honestly, I always preferred when Mjolnir covered more of the Spartan than it didn’t. It made them look like tanks. In Halo 5 shoulder pads might as well be called armbands, and your cuirass leaves your entire midsection completely exposed I really don’t like it.

There is a reason a suit of medieval armor minimizes exposed areas despite the chainmail underneath.

You also have to remember why the armor was able to be flexible despite covering so much of the body. It is hard wired into their neural lace, it moves for the spartan like a part of his/her body, the spartan feels no resistance from it.

I don’t think the front and rear sections of the “diaper” are connected underneath. They may have been in the OT, but I think Reach has no armor in the crotch area when looking straight up from below. From the images we have of Chief in Infinite, it doesn’t look like the two sections are connected. Thus, I think the newer designs of the space diaper strike a balance between protection and mobility.

It was not easy to keep a straight face when typing that.

what did I just read?

Gonna be honest I always thought the diaper looked dumb, even in CE. Like even if this space super soldier has a space accident, it’s just gonna be inside the suit under the diaper, so what purpose does it even serve?

Protection for your junk. Because it’s not a literal diaper.

Gods.

I like how it looks. Like someone else mentioned, it makes the Spartans look more like tanks. Which, Spartans practically are. I love the new armor designs so far. No complaints. Space diaper and all it’s glorious.

Man if you thought they were wearing plated diapers I gotta’ wonder if you got any older.

It also may just be additional armour to protect the filtration system.

I’m sorry, I fail to understand your point. Femme fatales? what is the relevance here.

And don’t tell me about your fantasies. We ain’t that close.

They might have been connected in CE, but not after that, other than for some reason in Anniversary graphics for H2, plus if any of you guys remember H4 did have a couple of legit space diapers in customization.

I love the space diaper. One of my main criticisms of H4/5 style.

What in the name of all that is holy did I just read.

Disagree. I do not like the skimpy Halo 4 and 5 armor, was a major annoyance for me. Have always preferred the chunkier more retro-inspired armors of Halo 3 and Reach.
