not impressed

So i just got the game, and im not impressed with it at all.

aside from some new models, nothings really changed, and that i think is a bad thing.

i was hoping that they would update the game a bit aside from making it look better and every thing.

but no

you cant trade weapons with AIs

they are just as stupid as they were when the first one came out, like the Human AIs just standing next to a grenade thinking it looks pritty.

OR during the mission to save Cap Keys, the Human AIs must have killed him like 5 times.

i mean REALLY? you left that crap in the game?

if i wanted to play with that -Yoink- AI and every thing, i would have just stuck the old Halo disk into the thing instead of shelling out $40 for a carbon copy.

dont get me wrong, i did enjoy the first Halo game, but if your doing a remake, then fix the stupid bugs that infested it the first time.

What do you expect? It’s a remastered version of the original. Nothing is meant to be changed, the intention was it to be as close as it was to the original as possible.

Regardless, I’m sorry you feel that way.

Did you not read anything about this game before it came out? They always said it was going to be the exact same game just with updated graphics.

Why are these forums so logically inept?

By your logic, were 343 to announce “we’re going to add Armour Lock to Halo 4, increase the time limit to 3 minutes and make it a default ability for everybody”, nobody would have any right to complain when this feature ruined the game because 343 had said they were going to do so before release.

The fact that a dev makes a stupid decision to pander to the nostalgia crowd, but then announces they’ve done so beforehand, doesn’t make the resulting sub-par game any less their fault.

Learn2logic.

If they went back and updated everything it wouldn’t have been ready for the anniversary.

I don’t think anybody’s said “You should not complain about this because it was said ahead of time.” They’re saying “You should have expected this because it was said ahead of time.” When TC says “if i wanted to play with that Yoink! AI and every thing, i would have just stuck the old Halo disk into the thing instead of shelling out $40 for a carbon copy.” it implies he would not have bought the game had he known what it was, even though the information was available.

343 said from the beginning that this was going to be the same campaign just with updated graphics as well as skulls, terminals, and achievements. No one forced you to buy this game. Anniversary was mainly made for nostalgic purposes, they wanted to make sure that it played exactly like it did in 2001.

I don’t see why people buy the game and then complain about things which have been said about 20+ times by 343 in various videos etc. If you were buying this game you should have known that they weren’t changing the gameplay.

This is as stupid as people buying the game expecting the multiplayer to be a re-mastered version of CE’s multiplayer.

Do a bit of research before you buy things.

I think OP missed the whole point with the Anniversary

It seems that despite the efforts of the best of us, there are still others that don’t know the differences between remastering and remaking. CE:A is the former, they left the game intact the way it was ten years ago. Didn’t want to piss off the purists further since they also wanted CE MP and didn’t get that…err again.

Why do all the mentally challenged people visit these forums…at some point you must have realized what you were buying…

I have no sympathy for you. If you were that dumb to pay $30 for a video game that is a remastered version of the original expecting it to be different you deserve to be slapped in the face with a giant trout.

It has been known since they announced it that nothing would be changed.
Do some research next time before you buy a game.

Lol ohh dear I wouldn’t change it apart from the texture mapping bluring out at times but I love the way it plays exactly the same as when I first got halo bundled with my 1st XBOX

What you got is what you asked for, warts and all. You don’t like the poor AI? You don’t get along too well with the game physics? Blame yourselves, because you got exactly what you wanted.

I personally like the remake. It meets my expectations, and now I can play co-operatively with friends without having to lug my original X360 and a LAN cable halfway across town. Achievements, Skulls and Terminals are a very nice bonus.
