being unplayable offline, what if your internet is down? that means you can’t play a big part of the game solo or split screen. It’s a bad call on 343i’s part, fair enough you need Gold to download new episodes and play online, but you should be able to access that content offline afterwards.
I can not say I care for Spartan ops, but dam … it , it should be offline accessible!

So far I’m pretty underwhelmed. Btw, I think the sand and snow graphics are horrible. They don’t really kick up or make depressions when you walk on them. When driving the warthog over the sand, I didn’t notice any shadows or trail marks at all. Anyone else notice that?
Can you imagine the people that bought the game which can’t afford Internet hoping to play Spartan-Ops? I feel bad for them. The first season should be available offline.

Overall, I’m pretty indifferent on the game mode. I like the story aspect of it but I wish it were more difficult. It’s basically firefight with objectives. I completed all the missions solo on Legendary simply because when you die, you rejoin the action right where you left off instead of reloading at a checkpoint. Run to objective A, die, respawn, run to objective B, die, respawn, ect… They should have made it like campaign with checkpoints so the survival aspect matters.
