I board a wraith in warzone and plant a grenade but I dont get the wraith destroyed medal. Anyone else have this problem? Please fix it 343!
I was wondering why I hadn’t seen this thread yet. I didn’t make it because I steal the kills all the time.
If you see a Wraith get boarded all you need to do is shoot it with whatever gun you have and keep shooting until the explosion for some reason it gives the kill to you when your team mates grenade goes off.
It doesn’t work on any other vehicle, only the Wraith. I discovered this while I was completing Wraith Destroyer. People kept doing it to me and I decided if you can’t beat them, join them! I finished the commendation a long time ago but still do it at every opportunity because it is so easy to do.
This needs fixing, I know how annoying it can be.

This is true I found it really annoying until i figure out what was happening so most of the times on i jump off the wraith i still shoot it or don’t board it in the first place. tbh tho I’m guilty of stealing wraith kills trying to hurry the commendation up but i feel bad about that sorta makes thing right…

Actually, it’s possible to do it on tanks too.
Getting assists when I’m the one blowing up the tank - priceless.
Or when you Splaser Tankmaster Rok while he is at a small bit of health, but it still gives the enemies the kill.

I thought this was going to be a topic about a proposed medal called, “Not getting the wraith destroyed” in which you manage to successfully navigate a map for more than 10 seconds without someone boarding you. I think that’s a skill that deserves rewarding.

People stealing Wraith kills in Halo 5 started in Reach? Well, to be fair then, if they’ve been shooting them for that long they probably deserve the kill more than the guy who planted the grenade!
I have seen that I am able to do this with friendly vehicles from time to time as well. As soon as someone jumps off a friendly vehicle, try shooting the soon to be destroyed vehicle. I haven’t gotten it every time, but I have definitely gotten credit for destroying friendly vehicles.

Yes, and you only needed to shoot it while it was blowing up.
I know this is a couple months late but this just happened to me except in this case the guy managed to get the kill on his own wraith… there was no one else around and it had just spawned, so if I didn’t get it he must’ve…
