Hey everyone, first timer on the forums and I hope I can explain my issue.
I started playing the Halo series in 2009 and found myself enjoying REACH, when it came out. Since I have played the game, I have noticed that when I play on the campaign, Firefight, or any of the Co-op modes, no matter the difficulty or duration of playing, I only receive 50 credits. I will have scored pretty well in the campaign mode or saying, Gruntocalypse, with a ton of head shots, playing wave after wave, and only end up with 50 credits applied to my experience. I will get the full credits when it comes to the challenges, but no matter what difficulty, mission, or Firefight game (be it custom made, tweaked, or normal mode), I do not receive anything beyond 50 credits.
I just did a run down with a Live agent, deleting the cache.
Prior to the chat, I have deleted my gaming information several times and started over from scratch.
I have played on another console.
I have been logged in and logged off of LIVE, playing the game.
Still only getting 50 credits.
I do not play the Match Making aspect of the game. And if I do, it is rather rare and far between.
Does anyone else have this problem or know what to do? It is making me rather frustrated at the game. I got a high score while I play and only get the 50 points added to my experience.
Any feedback or help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Neko
This happened to me when I 1st started playing (about 2 years ago). I can’t tell you why, or how it was resolved, just when.
I first played the campaign before I got a Live account. I was playing co-op with my son and noticed that he racked up huge credits for campaign levels while I got diddly (like the 50Cr you were talking about). It just fixed itself once I played the campaign solo.
So if you’re playing offline co-op, it might be a glitch in the credit awards and playing a solo level may clear it up. If not, you may want to play a co-op level, play a MM game, or just try different Live gametypes and offline scenerios to see if you can trigger the game to correct itself.
Sorry I couldn’t help more, but at least you know you’re not the only one who has experienced this.
Once an account has been taken online, you lose the ability to earn massive amount of credits in offline campaign/firefight games. It was a preventative measure against boosting ranks/credits.
So unfortunately, there’s no “fix” as it’s not a problem, but rather an intended design feature.

I don’t think that’s what he’s saying. It sounds like he’s saying he’s only getting 50Cr/game for any gametype he plays, regardless of his online status. Shouldn’t he be earning more than 50Cr/game, even if they’re lost when he goes online?
I understand the message saying you can’t transfer offline-earned credits online, but it sounds like he’s only getting 50 credits to begin with.
Sounds a lot like the problem I had, but only while playing offline co-op. Once I played solo I started racking up realistic credits. I got the message saying I couldn’t take those Credits online, but that wasn’t a problem since the game only awarded me a few hundred points for the whole campaign anyway.
