So recently I started playing Halo 5 on my alternative account and I have reached Level 10, however I have yet to receive alternative Armour and Helmets from the Req Packs. I have opened a range of Req Packs (1 gold, 2 silver and 7 bronzes as well as any commendations and promotions packs I received) and I haven’t found anything to customise my Spartan with. On my previous account, I got first piece of armour at Rank 2 (excluding Pre-ordered bonuses).
Am I just extremely unlucky or have 343 yanked the ability to unlock armour via Req Packs?
REQ packs don’t just unlock armor, they also unlock weapons, vehicles, and power-ups at random too. It’s all RNG.

I’m aware. But currently, I am not too fussed about them as I don’t play Warzone that often (particularity with my extremely depressing armoury).

Then may I suggest the Silver-Gold method. Grind out your Silver packs first, then you can get the Gold packs. Just for the sake of things, I calculated how much RP is needed to unlock everything with the Silver-Gold method. It’s not 100% accurate, but it’ll certainly give you an idea.
For *Common, Uncommon, and Rare items, you’ll need to buy 395 Silver Packs costing 1,975,000 RP
For Ultra Rare and Legendary items, you’ll need to buy 277 Gold Packs costing 2,770,000 RP
Total RP needed: 4,745,000
As for how long the grind will be, we’re looking at a roughly 8-month long grind to get everything obtainable assuming you play everyday and follow the Silver-Gold method, though items like Achilles and Timmy have to be obtained through special means.
*Some items like Mongoose certifications are only available in Bronze Packs (which don’t guarantee an unlock every time) so leave them for last.

That’s odd because I was receiving common armour in Bronze Packs three years ago. But from what I am hearing from you, 343 haven’t yanked unlocking armour in Req Packs and it’s just me having bad fortune.

Like I said, it’s all RNG. I was lucky to get my first Legendary armor set at SR 49 through a Gold Pack.

Man you haven’t even scratched the surface of how many packs you have to open to be complaining already. You have a long way to go. Sadly the req system is all RNG so it’s best to do as Haxor73 pointed out and just grind points for packs…how ever there are a few armors you can get without packs…watch nightfall on the Halo Channel for nightfall armor, get the legend achievement in MCC for helioskrill, complete cario station for Mark 4 scared armor in MCC, play 50 hours of custom games and get a olive or Timmy helmet I can’t remember which. Just to name a couple.
You barely opened any packs at all and there are a ton of things to unlock other than armor. You’re not really gonna get much from bronze packs so you should stick with silvers for now.
I definitely received armour/helmets in Bronzes (When I still had them) on my alternative. Although, I suppose that was quite a while ago and the games inventory has changed a lot in size since then.
