We as community need to tell 343 that we will not purchase the game, unless Master Chief Collection is promptly and fully fixed. This image is from reddit where in a few short hours it has gathered around 3000 upvotes.

Well, the community already has 160,000 preorders, lol
OP is a smart man.
Well, seeing as how you have 11 months to go until the release of Halo 5, 343 has plenty of time to fix and patch Master Chief Collection.

And the game is 11 months away from release. Good job Halo community. Keep promoting this kind of incompetence.
Yes because let’s punish people busting their -Yoinks!- even more by not buying their new game to show “our support.” Quit being -Yoinks!-
Nah. I’m going to pre-order it because that’s what I want to do. Even though I’m not participating, I completely support your protest.
Halo, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout are the only franchises I’ll pre-order and it won’t bother me if they don’t work perfectly out of the box. I’m a patient man and I know that when the game does work it’ll be one of my favorites. If for some reason I’m wrong and the game is a major letdown, then I’ll decide not to pre-order the next installment. This came close to happening with Halo 4, but luckily the campaign was good enough.
I’ve pre-ordered ODST, Reach, Halo CE Anniversary, H4 and MCC. I am absolutely NOT pre-ordering H5. I’ll wait until the game is released and properly patched. 4 out of the 6 major games I bought in 2014 were horrendous at launch. I’ve learned my lesson. Gaming is in a sad state, and I’m tired of being a sucker by paying for games that haven’t been properly tested or optimized for both technical and balance issues.
My friends also agree - they’ll be waiting too. We agreed to all wait, since we like playing together anyway, and it won’t make sense for one of us to get the game before all of the others do.

preorders are bad for the industry, there hardly are ever game shortages anymore and shipments are regular, all this does is promote buggy, unfinished products because the dev makes all their money on preorders and have no incentive at making a quality working product that people enjoy.
Haven’t encountered a single flaw in MCC for 2 months, so I’ll be buying Halo 5, thank you very much.

That would certainly make sense, if developers were motivated solely by money. It’s not exactly easy to get into the game industry, and certainly not into the AAA space. You don’t make games for a living unless you want to make games for a living, and in that case you’re usually motivated by more than just a paycheck. There are several different reasons why these sorts of things go bad, but “no one on the dev team cares about making a quality product” is very rarely ever one of them. If I had to guess at the cause of the MCC’s problems, my guess would be feature creep. I wouldn’t be surprised if the original plan was just to make H2A and nothing else, and that just ballooned out of control. :\

Its like a dog that -Yoink- inside. You shove its nose in it and send it outside. It it is not out of spite we are punishing 343 but to make them better.
Also on a side note Pre-ordering is killing the quality of ages as a whole. As long as more profit is made from shipping half finished games and fixing them after release as to shipping full games it will continue to happen.
343 are a business, all they care about is profits, as so by minimizing profit change can be implemented.

Okay, I know this is off-topic, but that’s… not how you solve that problem. It’s thoroughly discredited, it doesn’t work, and honestly, it’s straight-up abusive.

Then MCC will be 100% fixed, which is going to happen anyways, and then you can pre-order 5.
