While playing Halo 5, I’ve noticed that it takes a VERY long time to earn enough R.E.Q. points for Silver and Gold R.E.Q. packs. I believe the minimum amount of RP for the winning team in Arena should be 1000-1500 (without RP boosts), and for Warzone, I believe the minimum amount of RP for the winning team should be 2500-3500. REQ packs are the ONLY way to unlock armor and weapon skins (which I feel was a HUGE mistake by 343.), so why not increase the amount of R.E.Q. points per game? It would help my enjoyment A LOT 343, I hope you listen and take action in response to this post
I agree, and it’s pretty much useless to even get the silver or bronze anyway. From what I thought going in to the game it was supposed to be about every two warren matches was enough to get you gold; it takes around 5 or 6.
it’s part of 343 -Yoink- micro transaction system.
there are around 600 permanent unlocks, and it’s basically caps at 2 permanant unlocks per gold pack several unlocks are ONLY available in gold packs.
so basically they want you to spend 3 MILLION req points to get all the unlocks, which will take FOREVER, so they added the shortcut, for the low low price of REAL currency you can actually unlock everything you want while the game is still actually populated.
Uhm no you are very wrong. It takes 5 warzone games or 11 arena matches. That is literally NOTHING compared to other games. They WANT you to play alot and not geg everything quickly. The system works as intended and is way more generous then it probably should be! I open 4 gold packs a day. And that isn’t even from all day playing.
Yep I definitely agree that we don’t get enough req points. I am having an absolute blast playing the game but it does start to feel a bit like I’m just grinding it out to get to a req pack. I wonder if that has anything to do with them wanting you to buy the packs. Probably.

The problem is that often many people cannot spend the time to get 4 gold REQ packs per session, and cannot do that nearly as often, so they feel frustrated. This is why the REQ increase lobbyists want more points.
Also, the NOTHING compared to other games shouldn’t apply-pay attention, please…this is HALO, not COD, not Battlefield. Also, all day playing may not apply, but some people only have an hour or so on Halo a night (7hrs./week) or much fewer. Therefore, they do not see results nearly as quickly as either those who use microtransactions or those who play for hours on end. DO you know what the sad part is? I played enough to be the equivalent of 3 silver packs, and also used $10 USD. The $10 got me the better equipment/licenses…Last time I checked, there should be EQUAL opportunity, and that buying the packs should only increase your odds of getting what you want.
I agree that it is a little low and that they oversold how many points you can get in their teasers, but you need to see that the point increase the OP is asking for is not that much-I normally get that on average when I play well in a game, and/or use REQ boosts. Currently due to my skill level, I often am paired up with stronger players often due to my teammates. As a result, I do not have a 1.0 K/D, but hover somewhere between .8 and .9. If it is a bad game in Warzone, normally about 2000 REQ, maybe 1500 if I am horrid during a game.
Now, I don’t want to hear any trolling or complaining due to my K/D. Rather, I was using it as an example. For all of you with a higher score-good for you.
For all of you with lower, there is always someone better…many are better than me. However, do keep in mind that often either I may not have adapted as well to h5 and/or I do not have nearly as much time to play as you.
On another point, it seems like this sort of long grind is meant to be something for us to do while they polish the other stuff they promised at launch, if anything…something to think about, besides the basic prototype REQ system.

It might be more “generous” than some other games, but this is the ONLY way to unlock armor in Halo 5, and I shouldn’t have to play 11 games of Arena to unlock a helmet that I might hate or never use. If REQ points take this long to earn, they should be allowed to be spent like Credits from Halo Reach. (on armor and weapon varients.)

math lesson
first match count.
if it takes 11 arena games to earn a single gold pack, then you need to play 3300 arena games to earn all permanent unlocks, this is more games than YOU have played across the ENTIRE series (1500 h3, games, 500 reach, 200 mcc, and 300 in halo 4)
now time wise
11 games, 9 minutes a game 99 minutes per gold card, equal 495 HOURS to unlock everything, if re assume players play 3 hours a day, it will take 200 DAYS to unlock all the permanent rewards

4 gold packs can be the equivalent to 20 Warzone matches, give or take a few. That’s a lot of Halo in a day.

Playing 11 games isn’t even that bad. So you are telling me you rather pay close to 500k. For one helmet?. Which is ultimately WAY more then 11 games. Which again isn’t even a long time. Relax and enjoy your games. Do that and i promise you won’t mind the non existing grind you are trying to put on the req system. Also, it sounds like you only want gear fof arena so sell back all your warzone garbage.

true…or, maybe allow us to have certain preferences.
Say I like the Helljumper armor, and I know that I will never use the majority of the other ones. Maybe I could either trade/sell the armors back for REQ (since they are so costly) and get another permanent care for the price of whatever rarity the items are. If you want a Legendary Helm. and Armor, then you must swap 2 legendary rarity items’ worth or more. Also, if they feel that this is a bit too much, they can just limit it to permanent cards, so 10 Manti cannot spawn in the middle of a heated Warzone play, or that players cannot boost using Ultra Rare XP boosts in arena to jump ranks.

I use RP boost every chance i get. I got 9,000. One match this morning. I guess if doesn’t faze me because i come from games where it takes 100 matchs plus for something you want. Now THAT is a grind

I just wish I didn’t have to play 11 games to unlock a mystery…Since it is random though, I believe the amount of RP earned each game should be increased, That’s all.
best way I have found is war zone assault fast matches with good payout.
I’ve hardly played at all and am drowning in points. Silver packs give out collectibles also. I guess I’m fine and don’t want everything unlocked in a week. Play a few matches then sell cards to gain more gold packs
that’s what I’m doing

True, you should be proud of that-in those games. Personally? I wish I was as good as you, or at least had the time to do this. At my personal ranking now, I would need about 3-4hrs. to do this without boosts, but it IS possible. The difference is, it seems like a larger leap in playtime in comparison to Reach, for example, and you don;t even have an idea of what you will get…sort of a mandatory Lotto, if you will…

huh…thanks! Will have to combine your and nrgizer36’s ideas, but it should be productive…mwahahaha!!! HAAAACK! (hairball) ^^"

3-4 games should get you a gold pack. Ducain got 7100+ points in just one match. It’s not difficult.
Though I wouldn’t be opposed to making the system go by even faster.
1000 for Arena, 2000 for Warzone, and 1500-1700 for Warzone Assault. I think these would work.
