Not enough Customization

A lot of games are expanding a players experience, and control by having more customizable portions to it. I just think there was plenty of room to go with this and this card system messes it up a bit.

The card system is good but halo 4 customization would be good. E.g. different panel customization.

It is sad really seeing how the customization has progressed with this franchise. as always I have to give the 1 step forward and 2 steps back phrase yet again when it comes to 343’s dealings. I wish I could support but I just can’t bring myself to do it with all that has happened.

Maybe they will roll it out with one of these free updates 9 months from now? And it will be free, so no one can complain about it…

Jokes

Yea, I miss Reach’s level of customization.

Yes this is true. It needs all the features of past Halo’s.

I’ve got a solution. 45 more reqs!!!

Shhhh! They might hear you and take you seriously!

Whats the big deal with customization on a game where you can’t see what you’re customizing 90% of the time? Why is a silly design on your gun so important? Halo 5 needs permanent game modes and playlists before more customization options.

Screw gun customization I just wanted Halo 3 basic armour system helmet shoulders and chest.

If this is a topic regarding the lack of options for changing every piece of your armor…well, I dramatically prefer the new system. Too many goofy looking SOBs running around with mixed and matched parts in the old one. Reach, despite the great armor options it provided, was the worst offender. “Oh, cool, I’m gonna use the Kat robot hand, and Emile’s knife shoulder, and oh year Carter’s giant shoulder pauldron, and this big -Yoink!- pack looks cool, and a poop head, and grunty explosions!” Stahp, people, stahp.

I’m sure the choice was for ease of implementation regarding a greater number of armor sets, but the added bonus of playing games where players don’t look completely moronic is nice.

Most of the new armours look absolutely horrendous.

Customisation of shoulders, forearms, legs and chest will never happen. How can you tell? Look at the armour for Cypher and Scout, the only difference is the chest. There are quite a few other ones like this, They’d have a load of duplicates if they switched it so that you could customise.

I think the armor that 343i designed looks like crap. I’ve had on Mark VI since launch day.

But why? That’s what I’m not understanding. The only time you see your character is when you’re carrying a turret. Personally, I really couldn’t care any less what my spartan looks like, I just don’t understand is all. I mean changing my spartans armor changes absolutely nothing. It doesn’t help or harm in any way so whats the big deal?

I’m not saying to get rid of it all together. Again, only that I don’t understand the fascination with armor customization.

Because a lot of people enjoy making their character look how they want. I personally spend hours in games just making my character how I like I love it. It is part of the fun in a game to me and when I first head MCC had armour sets my heart sank and it really put me off Halo 5 for a long time.

Well hopefully 343i is taking notice of posts such as this so that Halo 6 will return to the far better customization options that Halo reach and Halo 4 had.

There are plenty of good sets now (step back on the right direction after H4), but it looks better with the set than it does some hodge podge of random gear that some joker thinks looks cool. Reach had some really nice sets, but the vomit combos people found were terrible.
