Not Casual, Not Competitive, I Just Love Halo

The current state of this portion of the community continues to sadden me.

I remember back when we just lost ourselves in the hype of an upcoming game we knew we were going to play for years. We didn’t give a -Yoink- what kind of rating system was in multiplayer, we just wanted to play Halo.

Who else is with me?

Who else doesn’t care if 1-50 is in or out? Who else doesn’t care what weapons are in what playlists?

Who else just knows that come November 6th, 343 will have nailed it?

I have to agree. Whatever happens, happens. We have to roll with the punches. Even if that means Halo 4 is “terrible” or “-Yoinking!- awesome!”.

For me i am hopeful for the future, but i am not blind. Some changes i am still not comfortable with.

In the end, i just want to get my killing sprees on. It’s that simple (though having ranked is something i can get behind while having social. Not an imbalance between the two like Halo Reach).

I agree I mean Most of the fun I remember having Was with my friend on a couch at a LAN after school and Drumline(competitions) Long hours freaking out Eating Junk food Drink MtDew and relaxing Not worry about other players judging you.

the OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH’s
OMG YOU DID NOT JUST DO THAT’s
Where amazing some i haven’t done IN a long time

Look it up…

I agree fully, all I want is a Halo 4 that I can play and have fun with for years to come. A game I can play with friends, online or via LAN, a game where people have a good time and play to win, not betray or similar. Just like Halo 2 were, just like Halo 3 were for many years, just like Reach could have been.
Let’s hope 343i manages to deliver a true Halo experience

Though this is part of the discussion, I believe the what the OP was saying was that
“No matter what 343 does to Halo, I’ll still love it”.
Which I agree.
Evryone else is saying, make it more competitive, no AAs, make Elites.
And they conplain that Halo 4 will be bad bwcause of specific ordeals.
The thread purpose is to see if there’s anyone who doesn’t care what Halo 4 is like.
And that no matter what, I’ll still love playing it.

I just want competitive MP gameplay with no randomness. I want the best player to dominate and win without gimmicks. They should win a battle because of raw skill. I could give two -Yoink- about ranks though. This sort of thing only causes hate and false perceived notions that one player is better than another. Each player has strengths that have nothing to do with set ranks.

Just as I interpreted it then, a thread for people who will love Halo. I’ll love Halo 4 as long as it is Halo 4 which I hope it will be, and think it will be. When I play it I should get that “Halo feeling”, it should have the “Halo quality” and over all be a Halo. I doubt anyone, even OP would love “Halo 4” if it was just MW3 or Bf3 but with the name Halo on the box. I care for Halo, but a Halo is only a Halo if it is a AAA game that shines with quality and though behind every feature.
As far as I can see no one has complained about any “specific ordeals” or sad that Halo 4 will be bad with/out them, least of all me. I would love for Halo 4 to have dedicated servers, I know for a fact that the game would be 10x better, but I would still like it and call it Halo 4 even without them, since I know Greed has stopped many good features.

Well said…

I wish I could have known Halo when it was like that, I was old enough to play it back then, I just… didn’t. Then I tried it, and it was the best game I ever played.

I do still remember playing Halo CE that one time when I was 7, now it makes me a bit nostalgic, even though I didn’t enjoy it at the time ; )

Now I enjoy it in my memories!
