Well, I got the achievement and everything for beating the campaign in Legendary… And yet, no armor, visor, or emblem. I finished the campaign in normal a few weeks ago when I had internet, and then I lost it for awhile and finished it on Legendary then.
Wat do?
You have to do the campaign online for the commendations to register (in order to get the armour).
You have to do the entire campaign again on legendary (online).
You can see the commendations of you go on: commendations - player - then scroll down where you see ‘Dawn’ , 'Requiem etc etc.
I figured… Huh.

Yeah, it’s awarded for the commendations that come along with beating it on legendary, not the achievements. To ensure people wouldn’t use game saves to beat the levels easily and unlock it.
I was stupid and though it had to be done solo… I cried a little.
I guess it makes sense, but I still see it as unfair to people who beat it in Legendary without Xbox LIVE/Internet.
You’d think it would award it through the game and not through Waypoint… I think that would have been a better idea for those people stuck in my position, IMO.
Excuse me while I go punch a hole on my wall for wasting my time, doing the campaign… Hah, just kidding.
I wish we could directly contact 343i. Even though, that is a lot of complaints.
