There are holes in some of the maps where grenades and Projectiles will phase through. I found one on Bazaar. near the center shack building.

I’ve literally seen someone shake off a skewer headshot like nothing happened. The spike was literally sticking out of their helmet like they were some kind of GD Unicorn. Return of the FOTUS armor.

Maybe it’s something to do with the tick rate of the game and/or the servers. Maybe the tip of the projectile has already traveled past the impact point between ticks.
