Not able to watch NightFall

Has anyone had problems trying to watch NightFall?
I bought the digital version of the game maybe that’s the problem or just a problem with the halo channel?

You’re not alone. A lot of people are having issues with Halo Channel. I have the digital version also, and haven’t been able to watch most of the content on Halo Channel, including Nightfall.

Could you please detail the issues you are having in watching Nightfall? I am continuing to follow the forums and investigating issues so that we can get bugs squashed, so any information you can provide is very helpful. What are the specific problems you are experiencing?
Does Nightfall show as being playable or does it say ‘Buy Halo’?
Does the video start, but then advance to another video?
Are you attempting to watch on Xbox One or on a Windows 8.1 device?
Do you have a capture card or capture software connected or running?
Do you have a video share program running, such as Twitch or other apps that allow you to share content with others?
If you do not have video share/capture software or devices, is your video connected directly from your Xbox One to your TV, or does it pass through another device such as a multiport HDMI switch?

Any information provided will allow me to work with the devs to resolve these issues, so again, I thank you for any help in this issue!

Mine is just completely skipping nightfall and going to another video. None of the troubleshooting tips helped either. No video share programs are running and my Xbox is hooked up to a surround sound system console.

Could you try a couple things:
a) Try playing a Terminal video, either Halo:CE or, if you have unlocked them, H2A terminal video?
b) Sacrificing sound, could you run your output from your Xbox directly to your TV/Monitor, so it doesn’t pass through a sound system?
c) By chance have you ever rented a video from Xbox Video and watched it successfully?

Newp the terminals aren’t currently working in the channel though oddly enough i was able to watch some H2A terminals before by accessing them in game. I just tried running my hdmi chord to the tv and was still not successful in watching neither the terminals nor nightfall. I have not rented anything from Xbox video but i did download the H2A making of documentary from it and watched it entirely. Hope this helps!!

same thing is happening for me bro. The only thing that is going to fix this is a hard coded update, which will never come. 343 has their hands full with that car accident of a multiplayer game, Halo Master Chief Collection.

There are actually multiple groups within 343i, including Waypoint which is responsible for Halo Channel… and we are actively investigating this issue. When I watch Nightfall, I am able to watch the intro (the marine helmet on the fractured halo ring) but when it fades to black, the whole system freezes and the only way I can get back to the menu is by quitting the app and starting it again. I will admit I don’t have the best internet connection, but I am pretty sure that’s not the problem, since I had watched a lot of halo vids previously, including the halo championship live stream with little or no trouble. Any ideas?

I’m having this problem when I try to run says it is necessary to buy Halo to run.

I’m honestly impressed as nothing works in this load of crap called Halo MCC.

It amazes me still have their jobs after so many errors, bugs and demonstrations of disrespect to costumer.

I would like to have my money back, this would be the perfect solution

Have you entered the 5x5 (25 character) code included as an insert card in the case of MCC in order to unlock Nightfall?

Have you been able to watch any terminal videos, such as the Terminals from Halo 2 or Halo:CE? We’ve not seen an issue with systems locking up, so this is a new condition for me to document, and any information would be appreciated.

I have the digital version of MCC. It does show as Nightfall being available, and I’ve never been asked to buy Halo. What happens with Nightfall, Terminals no matter the game, cinematics, and most of the other content really is that the Up Next screen for what I selected will pop up for about two seconds before skipping to an Up Next screen for the Bulletin. I’ve only tried Halo Channel on XB1. The closest thing I have to Windows 8.1 is 8.1 RT, which annoyingly isn’t supported. I don’t have a capture card; my xb1 is direct to TV via a HDMI cable. I do have the Twitch app installed, but I don’t keep it running unless I’m actively watching Twitch.
