not a freak out, merely a concern

I don’t want people discrediting me b/c im just one of those people freaking out too early but im not standing by and just hoping that they’ll fix it themselves like a passive fan boy. Before i start, to all of you who are frustrated and upset with those of us “freaking out” and “constantly complaining”, the purpose of this forum is not to sit back and just watch what 343i does. If that is what you want to do, don’t look at the forums, they will be useless to you anyway. The forum is here so that 343i can get instant response on what their fan base thinks about what they are doing and if we are upset then we need to be telling them that.

Now I want to talk about this whole upgrading and buying loadouts, armour abilities, guns and modifications. Now i obviously don’t know how they are planning on implementing this but the way i see it doesn’t matter. There is one thing above all else that i believe is essential to Halo and that is that everyone always starts off on equal footing. the only thing that should be setting you apart from each other is your individual skill and your knowledge of your surroundings. Not how much you’ve played and boosted yourself.

Now all you people that have taken to calling yourselves the sane ones are probably seeing where im going with this and are already discarding my opinion in your mind because “he is just another guy freaking out saying that halo is going to become CoD” well im not saying that. I believe that 343i is smarter then to let that happen. What i am saying is that this concept of upgrading from game to game and unlocking loadouts etc is what i have always hated (oh know he said hate! throw him under the bus he’s a loonie) about CoD and that there needs to be a serious relook at the series and obviously the reactions of most of the fans inorder for 343i to continue in this fashion. I personally do not see how it will be possible for them retain support and manage to still make another halo game with this addition seeing as it has always been the thing that distinguished the 2 styles in games from each other.

this is where i got my info:

I think the armor slots are a way of coming to a compromise for the people who love Reach and the people who hate it. Like you, I would prefer a return to a more classic Halo experience, but I’ll deal. I’d much rather have equipment you can drop like in H3 than “armor slots” or whatever they’re calling them, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it all.
From the sound of it, if you weren’t too thrilled about aa’s in reach but played it anyway and even got used to it then you should have no problem adjusting to H4.
