I’ve been playing halo for 20 years now. And I’m one of the few old schoolers who genuinely enjoy halo 5 and therefore wasnt expecting to be blown away by this game. I wasnt but my personal preference for the direction I’d like to see this franchise go isnt the issue.
I just dont like the change from red V Blue to what it is today. I get they want to show off the new color schemes that players can win/purchase. But I really cant remember any I saw except for digitized layers of red and blue. Oh and a teammate who rocked all red and had me convinced he was on the opposite team the whole game. Good thing friendly fire was off. Never thought I’d say that
Also it was really difficult trying g to figure out what items were laying around. Things were not distinguished well. I felt that they made the game feel really washed out in an attempt to make it look realistic. I prefer the brighter neon to halo 5 but that’s me I guess. I did like how equipment got more than one use though. The new weapons were fun for the most part but I found the sidekick pistol weak. That might grow on me tho because I’m just so used to halo 5s pistol dominance.
