Everyone else seem’s to be liking this game , I dont think it’s a bad game by any shot I believe it’s a good game But I just cant enjoy it as much as Halo 3. Even Halo Reach lacked fun for me. I dont know maybe I’m past my peak at Halo , I still go positive and win most games in Halo 4 But I just dont see it. Sure Halo 4 is probably more fun for newcomers with unlockables and loadouts But I just think I’m stuck in the past maybe. I dont know.

What is it ? I just miss the days of Halo 2 and 3.
Many feel the same way, this Mp really did take a leap away from the normal halo play style. But i still enjoy it to an extent, just waiting on 343 to fix some things hopefully.

Halo 3 had a place for everyone, Halo 4 doesn’t.
Never played 2 online so I wouldn’t know much about that one.

there’s the thing I just dont , it’s not a bad game though it’s quite good , Yes it has problems. But it feel’s like somethings missing for me. I would take Halo 2 or 3 anyday over Halo 4 and Reach and I dont know why.
If you really enjoy halo 3 i would just play it then, before they decide to shut servers down eventually when the new console arrives. Only thing keeping me with 343’s halo is the story, i actually enjoyed this campaign VERY MUCH and the spartan ops episodes. But i will do say i miss the days every single one of my friends was on halo now its just 2-4 ever on. Just stick what you enjoy playing to be honest.

Yeah I do play Halo 3 from time to time and It does bring back some great memories, But i feel homeless now . Halo was always my go to FPS , now I dont know . I feel like I have no game to turn to . I hate CoD and Battlefield is to Big for me

I thought Halo 3 is p2p and therefore it will be playable as long as there are others still playing?

H3’s connections between Xboxes are p2p, but the Xbox’s connection to 343i (since Bungie game up their Halo servers) giving the game the playlist selection and for the game to return stats (yes H3 still collects stats, it’s just that 343i doesn’t show it to us). If those shut down, the game is dead
Agreed OP, while some of the changes are welcoming (ex. sprint, AA’s, new weapons) the major changes made really hit me right in the childhood. I’ve been playing halo 3 for some time now (still deciding on whether or not to get rid of 4) but it seems real slow and i miss a few of the new halo elements. It’s aggervating

I had similar feeling with Quake, until Quake Live came out and showed me, that all those nostalgic feeling is just… nostalgia. From that time I played Halo more and more and after being bored with Halo 3 and disappointed with Halo Reach, Halo 4 is the ultimate multiplayer fps for now. I don’t have any nostalgic feeling towards previous Halo games (when Halo 3 came out I was 25), so I can assure you (and everyone else) that Halo 4 is a blast by itself.
