Nornfang vs Oathsworn

I want to throw out a few things:

  • I really like the idea of this playlist! I think it is great that they are incorporating the mythic loadout weapons into a weekly playlist that is not Fiesta!! - I feel like the shotty here is just a tad underwhelming. What are your thoughts? - They should take off team killing here. the sniper has caused me a couple collateral kills by shooting through a opponent.Feedback and discussion is appreciated!

Yeah I’ve rarely touched the oathsworn in that playlist, it’s not hard to get a snapshot with nornfang at all.

On the 4v4 arena maps, the snotty is pretty nice. What it lacks in Power, it makes in for in the rather noticeable speed boost. The Oathsworn has always been a bit underwhelming compared to the other shots variants, especially the Blaze of Glory.

In a seasoned hand, the Normfang is probably better overall though.

You raise an interesting point though, would Blaze of Glory be a better counterpart to Nornfang? With Oathsworn you still have the same basic shotty range and considering you’re approaching someone with nornfang, even with the speed boost you’re looking at an uphill battle. But with blaze of glory the distance is much better and could be a way better counter imo.

Yeah, I found that out quickly as well after getting out CQB’d with the oathswarn.

I screwed up my post and said Oathsworn is better. I really meant, Nornfang is better in seasoned hands.

Even with Blaze of Glory’s awesomeness, which is much closer to Nornfang, the fang wins overall with an INSTANTANEOUS one shot kill with potentially infinite range.

I think Oathsworn getting +10% Rate of Fire, Range, and Damage would make it much more becoming of Mythic status. Blaze is simply more reliable, and it’s a rare.
