That would indeed be a mistake. But not releasing these features at launch is… also a mistake. Those are not mutually exclusive. 343i has had enough time to work on these features and it’s a -Yoink!- shame that they couldn’t manage an essential part of the Halo formula on time. As I said before, they’ll have a hard time justifying the Campaign’s 60 dollar price tag now

I don’t think price is an issue - 60 dollars is nothing nowadays for a game. A Halo campaign can command this type of money easily.
Game Will die like cyber punk already cancelled pre-order so did 30 or 40 of my gamer buddies… So have 1000s and 1000s of others. It’s gonna tank you had 3 to 6 years depending on what troll you ask to finish an extra year and still gonna be a broken mess… No thanks…

How old are you are you paying that 60, 65 bucks with tax that isn’t a small amount of money do you work for your money or does mommy and daddy get it for ya. Go back to mommys basement and stop defending a studio that screwed the pooch

So they already be upsetting the co-op playerbase once again lmao. And I damn well figured forge would also be delayed, I have quotes on being skeptical of missing features day and I’m glad to see I’m right. It’s a shame they’re going the rout of hurting their first impression instead of letting it be a full product

I love how a 343 mod censored this post. Must have stung them deep. Lmfao.

nowhere in that article does it say the engine took 3 years to finish, so i think you re just talking out of your yoink, the engine wasnt even finished in the gameplay demo

It’s the same for all games forums, mods / staff do not like people being critical and their products / business. They only expect praise posted and anything else they expect via “feedback” which most likely is just filed under “maybe look at”.
Like all the feedback for split screen on mcc for pc that they “received” and promptly tossed…

This company has a 500 million dollar budget with hundreds of employees. That being said adding coop shouldn’t be this difficult. Every single halo has had it before. On a similar budget (considering inflation), workforce, and time. Every time, Halo was a staple of a game, no issues at launch, no bugs, nothing.
Where’s the argument to this? I do not understand the incompetence of the industry anymore. Remember when you used to buy games and they just worked?
Honestly, I am cool with waiting on forge. However co-op? That sucks. I will have already played through and spoiled the campaign by then. I want to experience the new campaign fresh with my friends.

> I look forward to playing forge but I’m not throwing a tantrum over not getting it day 1. The game, like they said, will never be truly finished. They are choosing to launch it when its core stuff is done. You’ll get your precious co-op and whatever later. No more delaying the game.
What’s the point of playing the campaign in Co op 3 months after launch? The key point people are disappointed with is enjoying the story initially with their friends. Imagine playing Arena but only as solo queue, not being able to play with your friends. Not everyone enjoys Halo for the Arena Multiplayer. Some of us enjoy the campaign and cutting out Co Op for the first 3 months, makes the experience dry.
I commented on this extensively on discord…the game is still playable on Day 1. You can still go out and play Campaign and MP on Day 1. You can do one of two things, download the game after Co-Op is released…or Play it Day 1 like we all know you will regardless of the complaining. I am sure 343 has their reasons.

Touched a nerve did I? The reality is that 60 dollars is, like I say, cheap for the experience you will receive.

That doesn’t even make sense. $60 got us complete games at launch not even that long ago, but now its enough for less? You as the consumer shouldn’t just accept being given a worse deal. That’s asenine.

Ok give me a quarter of a billion dollars, 6 years development time, and more than 1 studio with hundreds of experienced game developers. I’m willing to bet alot of people with those resources could lead a team to a better product than what 343 management has given us. What a miserable take lmao.
