Considering 90% of how I play halo is coop then it is game breaking. It’s downright poor. The idiot meter is off the scale due to this ridiculously poor decision to launch without a necessary game feature. This HAS to be in the game. Halo 5 all over again and it’s really destroyed they hype I had for this game. Day one was literally going to be a split-screen fiesta all day. So much for feeling like halo. Guess I’ll just play campaign by myself and have a friend watch or something. So screwed up.

Like you said that’s a 3 month wait. You do realise the stupidity of launching without it yeah? Like the failure of halo 5 to launch without forge killed a lot of the custom game community. It’s these basics that attribute to the lacking success of games during their launches. It’s simply not good enough and is blatantly incompetent. Lol and people were speculating about “a 3rd major mode” like battle Royale or firefight or another potentially leaked modes being in this game? Wake up people- it was gonna be Campaign, Arena, and BTB at launch, and that’s it.

It didn’t kill it that game died for lots of reasons you have to admit that. So either play the campaign solo first and play it in 90 days after release coop or just wait for the 90 period then play it Coop problem solved. Meanwhile the rest of us can enjoy the game for what it is.

And another reason was the lack of coop. Why should I have to wait 90 days for an experience that should be done on the first day? Problem isn’t solved. So tell me, on launch how do I play coop campaign on legendary. A staple of the game that myself and a dozen of my friends do with every halo (except for 5).
how can I do that day one then that can be the solution. Not wait 90 days for an actually completed games experience.

It doesn’t need delaying why delay it for a very specific feature missing temporarily? it’s not like an entire game mode is missing or the campaign itself is missing. You are being beyond ridiculous and just showing how petulant the halo fanbase can be at times. They could of said nothing and just released it in a bug infested state and got trashed for it or took the time to perfect the two features and bring them in when ready.

That COVID excuse was nothing but a PR-lie. As a programmer myself I can guarantee that software development is practically not affected by the pandemic at all as you’re not tied to any specific workplace as you’d be with physical labour or customer interaction. You can practically program from wherever you want, even in the middle of nowhere, you just need sufficient infrastructure to allow for remote work. Which we know for a fact that Microsoft has, not just because they are literally the biggest software company on the planet by a huge margin but also because their very own Microsoft Flight Simulator released without a hitch, without delays and without any major or even remotely game-breaking bugs in the middle of the lockdown.

You don’t simple as a problem solved. Dear God, the game is complete its a working functional game which just a couple of very specific features missing. The Majority of people play multiplayer and they will be able to enjoy split screen etc. It can’t be helped if it’s not ready. Get over it and either enjoy the game or choose not to play it. Endlessly commenting on here won’t change the facts. However, they haven’t delivered on what they promised for launch. That I agree with, But I can forgive it considering the past 2 years they have been in lockdown which has made things even harder for them.

Coop is an entire game mode.
It’s also significantly more important than a single gametype would be, i.e. Oddball or King of the Hill.

To bring up a bright side item, local coop players will be able to play bot MP matches.
So there’s at least still a PvE mode available for local split screen and online coop play. It’s just a totally different experience than we’ve ever had before.

Agreed. No coop campaign is absolutely unacceptable.
Last year, I could understand a delay. This year, the game is in a much better state minus the lack of a few features. I don’t mean to be overly apologetic, but the game is most likely going to be in an acceptable state within the next few months. That being said, they really need to not hold back co-op campaign for seasonal content. Get working on it double time, and release it the moment it’s ready. Don’t drag it on with some arbitrary release schedule for fake hype. Co-op campaign is not something that can sit around just so Microsoft can have another carrot on a stick. It needs to be released ASAP. No exceptions.

Dude Its not everybody else who is being petulant only a few. Because it’s not everybody who is endlessly whining about it. There are just as many saying more or less what I am saying. I’ve just no patience for the endless posts on the same subject. if something is a deal breaker I just don’t play it that’s it, I might leave some feedback or a review but I don’t keep commenting complaining because a certain feature isn’t in the game. Is it ideal? No is it hell But I accept the reality of the situation and knew this could crop up. They have had to spend two years without being in the studio together and putting this game together. They want to get it right those features but they also accept a great many the actual majority play the campaign on solo so they want to keep to their release date and bring the coop campaign side of it asap after release which is roughly 90 days which is nothing considering how long halo games usually last.
