Is there are counter or did I have a glitch where the assassination was interrupted? I know the you can kill someone in the midsts an assassination (Show Stopper), but that’s not what I’m asking.
Most likely lag or a glitch. There is no way to counter an Assassination.
I’ve had it happen a few times myself, whether assassinating or being assassinated, it randomly stopped and the victim teleported a few feet forward. Could be lag or a glitch.
Happened to me before, just a glitch like you said. But incase you didn’t realise, you can’t do a “Show Stopper” on yourself - apologies if you knew that

If you drop a granade before and they have low shields I think you can get a show stoper on yourself
I broke out of 3, b/c of lags. whew. That was close.
if theres anything in the way like say a wall or a elevated platform that your pushed into or on in a assassination it will negate the attempt.
it may be due to lag or a glitch. other than sticking yourself or tossing a grenade before he gets you, there is no normal way to get out of an assassination.

No worries… It’s my bad for not making it clear I understood that…
there is a way to get out of assassinations. if you have a thruster pack you can thruster pack out of assassinations. hope this helps.
This happens to me all the time. I honestly can not catch a break with the assassination. Everyone seems to be able to break out of my assassination turn around and double pummel me while I’m still locked up in an animation. It’s -Yoink-.
The game tends to glitch up whilst on a slope or an object is in the way…
