Noob Tactics

So basically, customizable classes are making Halo 4 incredibly easy to be utterly terrible and still get kills. That is unless they somehow balance the skill-cap effectively.

Here’s one that’s pretty standard:

Primary: DMR/BR

Secondary: Plasma Pistol

And so on, and so forth. Anymore noob classes that anyone has thought of? I’d like to see what absolutely atrocious noob combos the community can come up with.

I think having, both, the DMR and BR is pretty unfair… Not so much nooby.

> I think having, both, the DMR and BR is pretty unfair… Not so much nooby.

… I meant as in EITHER the DMR or the BR.

I think AR/DMR is going to be -Yoink- in Halo 4. Am I the only one?

And so on and so forth

so, must be easy to come up with another one right?

Oh.

Yeah, that’s probably the ‘noobiest’ loadout possible. I highly doubt that the plasma pistol will be a loadout option, I can’t imagine how messed up games would become after a while.

Seriously, even when you could pick up the PP on the maps no one ever did. The overcharge is easy to dodge anyways.

I’m sure they would have thought of this. Maybe the PP is not a load-out weapon for final build. I think it would be quite odd to have it as is as a load-out weapon especially in BTB. EMP-fest anyone?

Yeah, weapons have faster killtimes across the board, too, making the noob combo much less effective. The only reason it was used in Halo 2 was because of the INSANE amount of overcharge shot tracking, which has been drastically nerfed in Halo 4.

well i asked a 343 employee during a play date if the AR had been buffed and he said its better than the previous versions and I would love to find the quote by another 343 employee that said the AR got a bit more range on it as well as previous games.

I saw one gameplay footage where one dude tried to use noob combo and the tracking was almost nonexistent (but it still tracks a little making it only usefull at CQC [where it can be countered by HL shield or thruster pack]).

It seems to be very balanced.

But vehicles are still big targets so we just have to wait and see how PP affects in BTB.

I think a shorter EMP time if the tracking isn’t as good as previous games to balance that anyone could start with it in BTB.

If you seen gameplay footage, it’s already apparent that the overcharge got a nerf. The shot can’t home as well against targets, and moves slower than a regular shot. At longer ranges, this combo won’t work well.

I’m pretty sure 343 has played Halo 2, and has been a victim to a few noob combos. Thus, they thought this out.

My hope is that they removed the EMP from the plasma pistol, but that’s probably not happening.
