Noob help

What are some of your suggestions for playlist and loadout selections to help someone who isn’t very good have a fighting chance and be less annoying to their fellow teammates? I’m not that good, I know this and freely admit it but I’m also aware that this can be really annoying to better players who get stuck with me on their team if I venture into a game of BTB. I want to get better but don’t want to ruin the experience for others so is their a certain loadout that might be easier for a noob to learn the ropes with? Any playlist you suggest where my low skill might be less annoying to others while I try to hone my abilities?

Rumble Pit is always a good choice as it is Free For All. Also Invasion is good for new players.

with all due respect, you are pretty much screwed. if you go into FFA, you will get PWNED by the sounds of it. and like you said, you dont want to drag down your team. my suggestion to you is that you get some of your buddies and set it on slayer pro on DOME or OCTAGON and just train your DMR skills. everything else will just fall in place

DMR is a good weapon to train with? I do find I prefer to try the sniping but it always seems underpowered to me but perhaps it’s just because my aim is not there yet. FFA is a pretty fun playlist but it doesn’t help me with the whole “working as a team” which is part of what I want to get better at.

I honestly think that Invasion is the best for you. As even a player who is new to halo can help the team out a huge amount. Most of the time if you look at the carnage report after the game the player with the least kills has the most assists.

Just play the game how you see fit. You learn by experience.

First things first, you need to learn the maps. A custom game by yourself is good to venture around and learn where things are etc etc.
Then know what abilities are best for which maps. For example the Jetpack for Sword Base to avoid the lifts where players like to camp a lot.

Watch the other players on your team if you’re really lost, constantly keep moving around the map staying close to your team so you don’t get chewed up and spit out in a 1 vs 1 battle.

Don’t use grenades when your teammate is near an enemy player! Use your pistol/DMR to help your teammate out even if you only get 1 shot into the guy.

Stayng alive yourself is a top priority.

Constantly try to flank the enemy, don’t keep running into the middle of the map, chasing for an easy kill as it leaves you open to be an easy target too.

Just remember that we all have to start somewhere so don’t feel bad for not being good right away!

However you will learn through experience that grenades are MASSIVE in this game and are near unavoidable so don’t stand to close to your team mates. just close enough to see what they see and vice versa.

A DMR is a good weapon to train with because it is the weapon you spawn with insome gametypes. You should Octagon with a friend that’s better than you to get a better DMR. Sniper is good to train with too. A good playlist would be invasion where you can work on teamwork without hurting your team that much. Some tips on improving teamwork: stay with at least one teammate(don’t stay too close for a rocket), put shots on the enemy to help out, be aware of where your teammates are at all times(always be in a position to help)

Impossible to dodge, unless the grenades are thrown like me(worst grenades in the game).
